Taj Mahal tour was great, be aware of the sales pitch at the end
Pros: - Online booking and communication through WhatsApp was excellent. I felt very confident with the arrangements. - Ride there/back with Chetan was comfortable. - Guide (Hussein) was very knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor, and took a lot of photos. We also appreciated that he prepped us to navigate the many individuals trying to get us to pay for pictures or souvenirs while at/leaving the Taj Mahal. - Guide balanced the many photo ops with options to walk and explore independently--asking us how long we'd like and setting a meeting place. - The breakfast was a nice buffet with options for made-to-order hot foods and a range of options. - Going this early was worth it to have smaller crowds and manage the very hot temperatures. Neutral: - If you are going specifically for the sunrise/photos, be mindful of the time of year. The sun rose in the car as we were approaching Agra from Delhi and therefore the experience of seeing sunrise and its effects on the Taj were not a part of the experience. We did check to know what time sunrise was happening before booking so I did not subtract any points/stars from the review for this. Apparently the best times are Feb/March and October/November. It was still good to be that early to avoid peak crowds/heat, but set your expectations accordingly. Cons: - Agra Fort - The itinerary says "After Visiting The Taj Mahal, Proceed To Agra Fort. It Was Built In 1565 A.D. By Great Mughal Emperor Akbar." This was a drive by from the road below the fort. They should make this stop as a bonus and not bill it as part of the experience because you don't go to the fort and experience anything. - Over breakfast, the guide offered the option to see local artisans making some of the fine silk and gemstone embroidered tapestries, or to see marble caving. He described it as seeing the artisans working in the tradition of their ancestors while learning about the heritage and culture. We were then driven to a store called Sanskriti's Imperial Gems. After a brief demo and history of the embroidery process, we were moved into a gallery area and given a high pressure sales pitch where they brought out literally dozens of tapestries one by one, and then took us counter-by- counter removing each bag, box, trinket, etc. in hopes we'd buy something--anything. When we did not purchase from the gallery downstairs, they ushered us upstairs to the jewelry section where the closed the door behind us and began the process again with rings, pendants, etc. The truly truly unfortunate part of this experience is that my friend and I do regularly like to purchase art while traveling and genuinely appreciated the beauty and quality of the craftsmanship, as well as the the opportunity to learn about the tradition and history. Had we been left to explore on our own after the seeing the artisan in action, we both agreed we would have purchased one or more items as souvenirs from our trip. The "bait and switch" of the experience followed by the heavy-handedness of the staff prevented us from buying and ended what was otherwise an amazing morning on a sour note. "Exit through the gift shop" is not entirely unexpected on tours, and in this case, my advice for Creative Indian Holidays is to describe it in a genuine way so it doesn't feel like a scam. Many people would still be very happy to visit, learn, and acquire handmade crafts with a rich history instead of mass-produced airport souvenirs. Then, give people space to interact with and fall in love with the wares on their own and with less pressure.

Recommend but be cautious
Liked: - logistics worked well - tour guide knowledge and friendliness - tour guide photo ability and attention to small details - good breakfast - immediate feedback via whatsapp from company To improve - the actual time at taj mahal was a lot about taking pictures, and after i think i would have preffered more time to simply walk around and enjoy it. I should have mentioned it to guide, so be aware if you like to walk around yourself - say it. - i ended up being taken to a shop where they sold nice handcrafts, and where the whole purpose was i should be buying something, and that made me feel uncomfortable - its also not in the tourplan. I was asked before we went to the shop, but i must have misunderstood the explanation about it as i would have said no if i knew what the purpose was. - i saw agra fort from outside, meaning driving car around it. I would have liked to stop and walk around it. But that is my own fault as i understood “inside” as being really “inside building under roof” which i did want, i wanted something like taj mahal where you get to walk on the premises but not inside under roof. So my own fault. In sum: communication is crucial, make sure its crystal clear what you understand and get. I can recommend it.

Excellent care makes an excellent tour
Beautifully organized tour. The driver, Mr. Naval, picked me up as promised at 3 AM (from Gurgaon) and took on the heroic task of driving through the fog, while I snoozed in the back. Mr. Abdul conducted an exprt tour complete with history. He is also a fantastic photographer and willingly helped me get some fantastic pictures of the Taj Mahal. I was surprised by how much I liked Agra Fort. Without Mr. Abdul and Mr. Naval shepherding me around, I would not have enjoyed myself nearly as much. Thank you also to the excellent organizational skills of Mr. Manish.

Great and reliable tour to explore Agra and Jaipur in a short weekend!
The driver, Mr. Raju, was always on time, respectful and helpful. He made stops for washroom, tea, food, per my desire. All important things for a solo woman traveling with not much time. I felt safe throughout my journey! Mr Raju was also in the very first sport right after the airport gate. Very easy to find! I also liked that I could adjust the tour per my schedule: pickup time based on my flight arrival, cities (Agra and Jaipur) per my desire and 2 days based on my availability. The guides: Mr Hussein (in Agra) and Mr Sunil (Jaipur) were also very friendly. Both gave tips on what to do and not to do in each place and how to best enjoy the visit (which really worked!). They were also great at telling histories about the places and taking pictures (which I highly appreciate). Mr Manish is also very responsive to explain about the tour option, to answer any questions you may have and to share any additional information. As a solo traveler, I asked for a bunch of questions and he was always friendly and responsive. I would definitely recommend this whole group for my friends! And I will be looking for them again to explore other parts of India. Cons: (1) some of the histories told by the guides contradicted each other (one day one of them told me something, the following day the other one told me the opposite - so I don’t know which one is the true), (2) I wish we had explored a little bit more of the places (especially in Agra). The tour in Agra was very short and we just explored 2 monuments.

Great India Holidays we’re absolutely the way to go. I booked the Taj Mahal Sunrise tour and within 10mins I had the tour operator contact me over WhatsApp they were super friendly, helpful and very organised. You can contact the operators direct on What’s app you will find their number on the website. Personally this was my preferred method as any questions will be answered directly. Pick up was efficient and safe thanks Vijay Driver speaks English Transport is super comfortable and safe Maneish was our guide he was fantastic perfect English, friendly, fun, creative photography willing to spend the full day taking the best photos for you and your guests. Breakfast at the Marriott was increasingly, healthy, clean, well organised and friendly staff. Agra Fort was my favourite it was hot by the time we arrived but I enjoyed the Atmosphere and history provided my Maneish he was extremely knowledgeable and fun to have as a guide. The 6 of us New Zealanders had the best experience and would recommend using great India tours for all tours 10/10 star rating.
