    Great tour

It was a great tour. The driver picked us up from the airport. He was easy to communicate with via whatsapp. He actually arrived a little early which worked out well for us. It was a long drive to Agra where we met the first guide. He was great and took us to the Taj Mahal. After we went to a nice hotel for a very nice breakfast. Then we drove to Jaipur and picked up the second guide. The second guide was great also. We also stopped at a few shops that sold jewels, spices, and art. It was a long day but the best way to see everything in one day.

    Not worth it!!

Firstly I would never recommend this tour we paid £162 EACH for a tour where we spent about 13/14 hours in the car. Right let’s starts... Got picked up at 2.30am promptly and started our drive to Agra, breakfast was included so we didn’t eat and thought we would eat before arriving at the Taj Mahal we probably could of done if our driver didn’t keep stopping for a cigarette after hour or so. We got to a hotel where we picked up our guide and got into the Taj Mahal and once we arrived some guy with a camera started taking picture of us to which he was our personal photographer to which we didn’t ask for nor want. 100 photos later he tried to sell us all the photos for 5,500 rupees obviously we said no and he kept lowering the price till he got down to 3,000 rupees and our tour guide said that’s a great deal so we decided to purchase them just so he would leave... then our tour guide said and I quote “you didn’t need to buy them the photographers are conning you I could take the pics on your phone” are you for real? Bloody idiot so clearly they work for commission.. The rest of the tour was completely rushed Amber fort was beautiful though and I can’t stress my absolute disappointment when the only reason I took this tour is to ride an elephant and you can’t in this tour despite is saying you can on the tour extras. Do not do this tour!! You can get the same tour in Delhi at a fraction of the cost. The places you go are great but rthe organisation of this tour was horrendous. Never felt so rushed in my life..

    Great tour but.....

If you are time poor and want to see the Taj Mahal and Jaipur in a day, this is your best option. Originally, I had planned to navigate the trains and get to Agra and do the Taj by myself. I’m so glad I didn’t. It’s a long day with a 2:30am pick up from my hotel. They also called the evening before to confirm pick up time (which was nice). The driver (K K Chandry) was on time and he was fantastic for the whole day. I’m so glad I didn’t have to drive with the chaos of Indian traffic. He provided water the whole day, and WiFi which helped the drive go faster. He was also very friendly, accommodating and a safe driver. It’s about 3 hours to Agra. The tour guide met us there and took me through the taj. He was very informative and took photos of me (and knew all the best shots to take). After, a buffet breakfast at nearby hotel was included. Then it was a few more hours drive to Jaipur and first stop was lunch. The restaurant was of good quality (but not included in the price). Another local guide then took me up to the Amber fort and another monument. He was good and explained most the history. Apparently we were running out of time and rushed through the Amber fort and could only see one other monument. Then it was a long (four hour) drive back to Delhi. And back to my hotel by 9pm. It’s a long day. But I would not have been able to do it by myself, so it was worth it and a good price with most things included. So why have I only given three stars? In both places, the guides unexpectedly took me to places that were not advertised on the itinerary nor did they ask me whether I wanted (or was interested) in going there. In Agra, it was a marble inlay factory. All of a sudden, the car stops and the guide says he wanted to show me how the Taj was made. I get taken into a building, the guide leaves me with a man who gives me a 5 minute demonstration on how marble inlay is made and then takes me into his showroom. He was very pushy, the items were lovely (but very expensive) and I really wasn’t looking to purchase a marble inlay table top for $1000 even if you could have it shipped to Australia. It was very uncomfortable, especially not being pre warned about this stop. In Jaipur, I was told we were running out of time and rushed through the Amber fort and could only see one other monument (instead of two). It then, without asking me, we arrived at a carpet factory for 30 mins. Now I have ABSOLUTELY no interest in how carpets are made and even less interest in buying one. Nor do I want to buy a pashmina or silk fabric. But again I was left alone for a demonstration and then shown all their items and just had to be blunt and tell him I have no interest in this. To be fair, this guy wasn’t pushy and I was able to get out of there without too match hassle. These experiences really soured what was, a great day. If I was pre-warned or even asked whether I was interested in these things and I had an option, it would have been ok. But to be told we are running out of time and to rush the tour of places I actually wanted to see (and paid for) only to waste time at something I don’t want to see; this is not good. I am actually very upset that they did this. So, do the tour - it’s good value, great driver. Just make sure you ask them not to take you to random places that you’re not interested in and that waste your time.

Taj Mahal Sunrise & Jaipur Highlights Private Day Tour from Delhi: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.

How much does Taj Mahal Sunrise & Jaipur Highlights Private Day Tour from Delhi cost?

    +

Prices start at $199 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Taj Mahal Sunrise & Jaipur Highlights Private Day Tour from Delhi take?

    +

Plan for about 18 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.

Is Taj Mahal Sunrise & Jaipur Highlights Private Day Tour from Delhi worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Taj Mahal Sunrise & Jaipur Highlights Private Day Tour from Delhi?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Taj Mahal Sunrise & Jaipur Highlights Private Day Tour from Delhi suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 18-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Taj Mahal Sunrise & Jaipur Highlights Private Day Tour from Delhi?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 18-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Taj Mahal Sunrise & Jaipur Highlights Private Day Tour from Delhi start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New Delhi?

    +

On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New Delhi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New Delhi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
