Taj Mahal side trip
My coworker and I took a side trip to visit Agra after a busy week in the office. We were recommended this tour and I’m very happy that we did book it. Harshit our host was very friendly, professional and informative. We were picked up straight from the airport, and from then on were driven to the hotels, landmarks, restaurants, stores, etc. After a busy work week it was great to be able to relax and enjoy such a wonderful trip without any of the hassles of having to plan things. Also, we were able to see so much more than just the Taj Mahal, places I’m not sure we would’ve seen otherwise. Highly recommended

Our Golden Triangle Tour was amazing!
It was our first trip as a family to India and we were skeptical about being conned into overpaying extortionate prices especially if you don’t travel to India often. You hear these stories all the time! We found Indian Heritage Journey on TripAdvisor and Harshit sent us a quote with a detailed 4 day itinerary including monument entrance fees and accommodation at 5* hotels including breakfast and dinner in the package. Harshit and Pawan our driver came to pick us up from Delhi Airport with a family size air con vehicle. We knew at that point we were in safe hands as they took complete care of us throughout the whole trip. We had a brief tour of Delhi including Indian Gate and Lotus Temple and a late lunch before we set off to Agra to see the mesmerizing Taj Mahal at sunrise next day. We were met by excellent tour guides at Agra and Jaipur, both English speaking and extremely knowledgeable with a flair for photography. Shortly after breakfast, we visited Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri en route to Jaipur. The following day we were taken to Amber Fort for the elephant ride which was incredible, thereafter visiting Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Jantar Mantar. We can certainly say that we had a pleasant and memorable experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Indian Heritage Journey to anyone travelling to India to do the same!

Excellent Way to Tour Agra/ Jaipur
India, as incredible it is, can take quite the toll on a traveler - be it navigating the streets, braving the scorching heat, maneuvering through the chaotic traffic or beating the crowds. India Heritage Journey takes that burden off of you when you travel with them. We connected Harshit through the Tripcrafters.com, and Harshit was very easy to communicate with. He was accommodating to our customized itinerary and also offered a reasonable price. The trip itself was very smoothly executed. The car was in great condition and very comfortable. Pick ups and drops were punctual, we made good time with the driving cos we took Harshit’s advice on departure times. He is also a nice person, polite and pleasant at all times. The guides we were introduced to were also knowledgeable and fun at each location. Sometimes the guides do suggest to take you to textile/ handicrafts/ jwellery shops seemingly to show you how the craftsmanship. We personally weren’t really interested in these and would have rather spent the time seeing more sights or just relaxing. So do keep a list of places you want to visit and if the guides suggest otherwise and you find something you are not interested in just tell Harshit and they would accommodate your request. We recommend for Agra: 1. The Taj Mahal - go at sunrise 2. Agra Fort 3. Baby Taj (we didn’t make it cos we were short on time) 4. Fatehpur Sikri We recommend for Jaipur: 1. Jantar Mantar (not to the missed - Amazing) 2. Amber Fort (not to be missed) 3. City Palace 4. Nahargarh Fort (we LOVED this; insisted on going even though it is not popular with tourists and so glad we did; try to visit close to sunset) 5. Royal Gaitor (again not popular with tourists, but beautiful architecture, a nice respite from the crowd) For restaurants, do not miss the peacock rooftop restaurant in Jaipur. All in all, we had a great hassle free trip with Harshit and would recommend it to anyone wanting to tour Delhi/ Agra/ Rajasthan.

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Day Trip by Train from Delhi: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.
How much does Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Day Trip by Train from Delhi cost?
+
Prices start at $53 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Day Trip by Train from Delhi take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.
Is Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Day Trip by Train from Delhi worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Day Trip by Train from Delhi?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Day Trip by Train from Delhi suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Day Trip by Train from Delhi?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Day Trip by Train from Delhi start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in New Delhi?
+
On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit New Delhi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in New Delhi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
