We had an amazing guide: Muzammil Husain. We spent two days with him. Ask for him! Book him! He is an expert historian of the area. He carefully explains everything you are seeing, puts his information in the context of other sites, historical time, and events. He helps you imagine what it was like when the emperors/royalty were there (people, animals, furnishings, music, costumes...), bringing the history and sites alive. He is endlessly patient and he is kind. He goes at your pace. We've had a lot of guides in different parts of the world. Muzammil ranks at the top.

I couldn’t recommend Muzammil enough. My fiance and I booked Muzammil through the Oberoi hotels for a tour of the Taj Mahal and Agra fort across 2 days. He’s thorough, well-spoken, objective, and extremely kind. Great tour guide!
Muzammil was recommended to us by the Oberoi Hotels group. He took us around the Taj Mahal and gave us an excellent tour. His knowledge of history and the Taj Mahal was clearly evident as he answered all our questions. Muzammil speaks very well and it was a pleasure to have him take us around. He was also very punctual and took care of all the arrangements for us. I highly recommend Muzammil to anyone who is interested in touring the Taj Mahal.
