    Excellent Layover Tour

Manouk was an excellent guide. We had a layover in Amsterdam and our guide helped make our 3 hours in the city very enjoyable. She helped us with bag storage which was also very helpful. We got to see cultural highlights on our trip, same local cuisine, all while seeing where some of the locals spend their time. Great trip, highly recommended!

Response from the operator: Dear Rosanna, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I’m so happy we could make the most of your short time in Amsterdam. I had such a lovely time with you and your family! :-) Hopefully we’ll meet again someday and you’ll have a little more time to explore Amsterdam. With kind regards, Manouk

Best private walking tour guide in Amsterdam

We are a family of four, all adults and enjoyed a lovely afternoon with Manouk on a tour in the Indonesian quarters of Amsterdam. Manouk came highly recommended by a work colleague and was 5 star! We were very impressed with her selection of well curated stops. Each stop was specially selected and while not being local food had a distinct connection to traditional dutch food. The stops were well arranged and were premium selections of the best places for pastries, street food from the Indian sub continent, local drinks and some special dishes from the middle east and bordering countries. Most of all we loved getting to know Manouk and her varied tours, the way she plans her tours and her own experiences of moving to Amsterdam and setting up Guidance. We had many meaningful conversations around food, cultures, customs, traditions and common threads that cut across the human race. We had a wonderful afternoon and throughly enjoyed ourselves. If you find a guidance tour slot that is available and you are considering it, don't hesitate, book it - you will not regret it!

Response from the operator: Dear Irving, Thank you so much for spending two wonderful tours with me and for your kind review! I'm so happy you found me through your colleague, I had the best time with you and your lovely family. It didn’t even feel like work, more like catching up with new friends. :-) I hope you had an amazing last day together, enjoyed some great Thai food, and had a safe journey back home. I’ll definitely let you know when I visit your country, it would be great to catch up and hear all about your favourite food spots. Always welcome back, big hugs to your family! Warm regards, Manouk

    Great and interesting tour!

For this customized tour, we requested a Heroes of Amsterdam theme, and it exceeded all expectations! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and perfectly tailored the experience to our interests. We loved the heroes she selected, as they provided us with a great overview of the city and its most influential figures. The stories were captivating, and we learned things we would have never discovered on our own.

Response from the operator: Dear Mitch, Thank you for this beautiful review! I’m so happy the Heroes tour hit the mark and gave you the experience you hoped for. It’s a joy to tailor a tour like this and hear it meant so much. Hope to see you back again in one of the other tours! :-) Warm wishes, Manouk

Let’s discover the old city centre of Amsterdam!

Guidance took us on an interesting, fun and relaxed walking tour through the old city centre of Amsterdam. Manouk shared both historical and fun facts about the city and its citizens. Don’t forget to ask for her favourite places to go to in town! 😃

Response from the operator: Hi Annemiek, Thank you so much for your fantastic review! I truly enjoyed the afternoon with you all, and I hope to see you again soon—whether on another tour or a work event. Manouk

Tailored private walking tour in Amsterdam: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.

How much does Tailored private walking tour in Amsterdam cost?

    +

Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tailored private walking tour in Amsterdam take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.

Is Tailored private walking tour in Amsterdam worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tailored private walking tour in Amsterdam?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tailored private walking tour in Amsterdam suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tailored private walking tour in Amsterdam?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tailored private walking tour in Amsterdam start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?

    +

On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amsterdam?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
