    Great Tacos

Tacos were great! And the Tequila tasting was very fun. Both things make this excursion worth it. A quick thing to do in Ensenda.

    Great Experience in Ensen

Great food tour that made the lackluster Ensenada stop on a carnival cruise. Travel guide was informative and seemed to know the area very well. The van we rode around in could have been better but overall a good time was had.

    Loads of Potential

Pros - The tour guide was nice, friendly, and knowledgeable of the area. The restaurants we visited were great, the serving staff was nice, and the tacos were DELICIOUS. Cons - Presentation is KEY! The tour van needed to be cleaned. If anything, I would recommend an upgrade for the van, as it currently does not have any identifying markers and will not fit larger sized groups. The tour was a bit disorganized. I think it would be helpful if the tour guide informed the restaurants ahead of time about the party size and how much time is allotted; the first place we visited was not ready for us, as they were currently serving another large party. Because of time constraints, I think it would have been helpful to have an alternative place to visit in instances such as that. I think this tour has potential to get better. The guide did specify that this is a newer tour, and it's noticeable. Once she works out the kinks and get better organized, I think she'll do great. For now, I would not recommend the tour; however, once improved, I'd recommend. Good luck!!

Response from the operator: Hey there! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave such thoughtful feedback. I’m really glad to hear you enjoyed the tacos and the vibe of the tour—and I appreciate the shoutout about my local knowledge. It means a lot! I also want to thank you for being honest about the parts that could’ve gone smoother. You’re totally right—organization and flow are key, especially with bigger groups. Since your tour, I’ve been working on tightening up the logistics: double and triple confirming details ahead of time with each restaurant and exploring better transport options to make the whole experience feel more seamless and polished. Just to clarify about the first stop—I actually did make that reservation a couple of days in advance. Unfortunately, the restaurant wasn’t quite ready for us when we arrived, which was definitely frustrating. In situations like this I would go to my backup plan but I am made the choice to risk the wait because I wanted to be mindful of your friend who was pregnant and not have to make her get back in the van and get out two minutes later as we drove a couple blocks to the back up location. If the group had been smaller. I really appreciate everyone’s patience while we waited, and I’ve already started putting in extra checks to avoid that happening again. For anyone reading this and thinking about booking a group tour—please know that I’m learning and improving with every tour. Feedback like this helps me grow the experience into something really special, and I’m already making changes to ensure a smoother ride for everyone. I’d absolutely love the chance to show you what it looks like next time around! Thanks again for your kind words and helpful insights—hope to see you back in Ensenada soon! – Amanda

    Pros and Cons

Pro’s & Cons list: Pro’s: The tour guide was very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful with communicating for us at each location for our group. She also took us to some really good restaurants and margarita place. She also maintained communication with my friend who scheduled the tour. Con’s: The ride was rough, hot, and very dirty/dusty inside and out. Super uncomfortable overall. Those of us crammed in back had to prop our legs and feet up on a dirty tired. There was no air at all at least in the back. I needed to get on the van to grab something on one of the stops and learned that the side door didn’t open on the side so I had to literally crawl to the back from the front. We were all pretty sweaty and dirty half way through the tour. If they needed to keep the same vehicle for a while I wouldn’t recommend them touring more than 8-9 people at time. I would recommend the tour based on the food, knowledge of the area, etc. But I couldn’t imagine referring anyone prior to the company getting a more comfortable vehicle.

Response from the operator: Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful and detailed review—I really appreciate it! I’m so glad you enjoyed the food stops and margaritas, and that you felt taken care of throughout the tour. I always do my best to make sure everyone feels welcomed and looked after, and I’m happy to hear that came through! That said, I really want to acknowledge your honest feedback about the vehicle. You’re right—the ride wasn’t up to the standard I want to provide, and I’m truly sorry it made the day less comfortable than it should’ve been. The van used that day was a temporary solution, and I was not aware of the issues until we were on the tour. I did not even know that there was a tire in the back. I have done bigger groups renting this van before, but I acknowledge that I need to check any vehicles I rent prior to agreeing to rent for a tour. It is really unacceptable that the AC did not work well, and it’s definitely was not up to the standard tour I look to provide. The good news: thanks to feedback like yours and the others in your party, I’ve already started making changes! I’m currently working with local partners to outsource more spacious and air-conditioned transport for bigger groups moving forward. Until that’s fully in place, I’m capping larger bookings to make sure everyone has a more comfortable experience. Thanks again for the kind words and helpful feedback—it truly means a lot. – Amanda

    The Good&The Bad

Pros: Guide very knowledgeable about the area. Took us to some great taco places...1st place took a little long to get in but fish tacos were AMAZING! 2nd place was REALLY good! 3rd place margaritas were tasty! Cons: The ride was TERRIBLE! The van they pulled up in was sketch....it was dirty, dusty, uncomfortable for a group of 12, glad a few ppl ended up not going because it would be no room for them! There was a tire in the back row and NO AIR! The air that was trying to blow wasn't cold so the whole ride was HOT! I understand getting started with a business but there's definitely some upgrades that need to happen before continuing. The only reason I wouldn't recommend this tour is they NEED a bigger better vehicle to make the tour comfortable.

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for your feedback about the van. I completely agree—an upgrade is definitely needed for larger groups. This was only my second large group since launching in March, and this weekend really confirmed that it’s time to start outsourcing a micro-bus for future big groups. I am happy you enjoyed the food because that is really why I started the tour, to show people the great places that Ensenada has.

How many days do you need in Ensenada?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
