Be ready for a mile long...
Be ready for a mile long hike. This was an absolutely incredible adventure. The caves go on for a bit and there is combined walking and swimming through different part of the cave. It was so worth it!!

A must do experience 10/10
The wonderful guides picked us up from our hotel and drove us to a meeting spot (very handy as not many taxis in Mallorca). It was a warm but short 30 min walk to the cave - we saw a wild tortoise and snake on the journey, and there was a fab photo spot at the top of the cliffs overlooking the cave entrance. We wandered down to the beach, got changed - wet suits, life jackets, hats and water shoes all provided. We were then given the option of swimming directly out to the cave, or a cliff jump (around 4m) and swim… excitedly opting for the latter! The cave entrance requires a quick bob under the water through a narrow portal opening in the rocks - a little daunting but the guides help you through. I don’t want to spoil much more… but the caves are BREATHTAKING. The guides are really well informed, and explain the geological processes in an easy way to understand. Some chilly plunges in the cave pools and crystal clear water. We spent over an hour in the cave and at no point did you feel rushed or moved along. You can just enjoy the whole experience in your own time (unlike the reviews for many other caving experiences in Mallorca!). It was a 200m or so swim back to the beach, some time to relax before walking back to the vans and a transfer back to the hotel. The experience requires some basic level of fitness. We didn’t have a waterproof pouch for phones so the pictures were kindly shared by a more prepared tourist than us! However, you really do have to see it with your own eyes to grasp the scale and magnificence of them. Beautiful trip - Thank you!!

Cancelled on us last minute
We were really looking forward to this tour and made a trip to Mallorca just for this cave. The tour company cancelled on us only 5 days before and now all other tours are booked so we are unable to change our days because we have flights and hotels confirmed. They also emailed me a month ahead to confirm our tour for 8/19 instead of 9/19 and I had to send them the confirmed date of 9/19. My feeling is that they do not have a good system. That does not seem safe for a cave tour.

The visit of the Cove was amazing. Our guide Jose was nice and fun. Being in a small group really helped creating a lovely moment.

Had to change plans due...
Had to change plans due to bad weather, not worth the money. We know it’s not their fault, but nor is ours and we still paid full price. We’ll never know how good is the real cave.

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Swimming and Caving in Cova des Coloms: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mallorca.
How much does Swimming and Caving in Cova des Coloms cost?
+
Prices start at $82 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mallorca usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Swimming and Caving in Cova des Coloms take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mallorca is not rushed.
Is Swimming and Caving in Cova des Coloms worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mallorca, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Swimming and Caving in Cova des Coloms?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Swimming and Caving in Cova des Coloms suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Swimming and Caving in Cova des Coloms?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mallorca can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mallorca and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Swimming and Caving in Cova des Coloms start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mallorca within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mallorca?
+
On Outty we rank every Mallorca experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mallorca Full Day Tour Valldemossa Deià and Sóller Experience, Best Mallorca Coves: Paddle Surf, Snorkeling and Guide, 3 Hours E-Bike Tour in Palma. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mallorca?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mallorca?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
