2nd April - Review
Raquel was amazing. She guided us through everything and was very personable! My partner only spoke English and although Raquel said she wasn’t super confident in English, she made every effort to communicate with my partner in English and it came across perfectly! Raquel made our experience unforgettable! - Beth and James
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words. We are so happy to hear that Raquel made the experience feel welcoming and personal for both of you. It means a lot that her effort to communicate in English helped your partner feel included throughout the class. That kind of connection in the kitchen is exactly what we hope for. We hope you enjoy recreating your sweet creations at home and perhaps sharing them with friends and family. You are always welcome back for another class.

The SWEETEST family fun in Barcelona!!!
We had such an amazing experience. Time allowed for making three yummy treats and they were delicious. The menu this month: Cheesecake, Red Velvet Mini Cakes and Apple Biscuit Cookies. The staff were all very kind and helpful. I highly recommend this experience for families or small groups!

Different activity than what the description offers, but overall fun
The experience was fun, but completely different from what I bought. I bought the experience for learning to make cookies and the description says that I should learn to make gingerbread cookies, chocolate cookies and apple pie, all 3, but we didn't make any of those in the end. We made cupcakes, which were good, but I knew already to make cupcakes and they cand be taken with you in the luggage, the cookies were easier to transport. Another thing is that we bought the course because it says it is in English and it hardly were in English.
Response from the operator: Hi Alice, Thank you so much for joining us, and I’m truly sorry for the mix-up with the recipes. You actually booked one of our special holiday baking classes, which featured seasonal treats like the gingerbread men and chocolate cookies — but I completely understand how frustrating it is when the experience doesn’t match the description you saw when booking. We're investigating how the listing showed the wrong trearts as our menu changes monthly based on the season. We have already contacted Viator to ensure this doesn’t happen again. In the meantime, we've reached out to you privately to offer a full refund and hopefully make things right. We appreciate your feedback, and hope to welcome you back in the future. Plus we would love to have you join us again for our special holiday baking class at the end of the year. Warmest wishes, Ryan & The GabLab Team

Fun way to start the day
We had a great time. The class was early but we really enjoyed the experience. Raquel was such a lovely teacher and we even learned a bit of Spanish. We ate a couple of our cookies and boxed the rest up to take with us. We live in Barcelona so we may do it again as the sweets change each month. She mentioned something about a monthly card so we will look into that. Great class!
Response from the operator: Thank you for such a positive review about Sweet Escape: Create, Bake, and Take Home Your Creations. Raquel is truly talented in teaching people how to make sweet delights. Yes the recipes do change so we would be more than happy if you came and joined us at the Gab Lab for another class.

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sweet Escape: Create, Bake, and Take Home Your Creations: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.
How much does Sweet Escape: Create, Bake, and Take Home Your Creations cost?
+
Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sweet Escape: Create, Bake, and Take Home Your Creations take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.
Is Sweet Escape: Create, Bake, and Take Home Your Creations worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sweet Escape: Create, Bake, and Take Home Your Creations?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sweet Escape: Create, Bake, and Take Home Your Creations suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sweet Escape: Create, Bake, and Take Home Your Creations?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sweet Escape: Create, Bake, and Take Home Your Creations start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Barcelona?
+
Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Barcelona?
+
May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Barcelona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
