You can do better

I didn’t actually choose this surf school myself, it was part of a retreat program. It was a good experience for my first time surfing. I got up quickly and had a great time learning with my friends. It wasn’t until I went to a much better surf school 6 months later that I realized how janky this one was. The equipment and rash guards are really old, faded. Coaches are nice enough when directly working with you but don’t greet people on arrival, walk away as soon as the lesson is finished and would sort of shake their heads and laugh at our struggles, as older women learning to surf. It’s a fun experience if you just want someone to push your board into whitewash, but if you want to be able to surf on your own, I’d go with a better school

Fantastic 5 day surf course

We booked our three teenage sons onto the five day surfing course and they had an amazing time. I had a couple of queries prior to booking and these were all dealt with very promptly, communication throughout was excellent. The best thing was the instructors and the instruction! Over the week the boys had several instructors, sorry I can’t remember all the names but Budi was awesome. The course was very flexible and allowed each of the boys to progress at their own pace and to focus on their own areas for improvement. There were loads of instructors around at all times and the attendees all wear matching rash vests to make them easily identifiable. Towels, water, fruit and really importantly zinc were all supplied, leggings were available too. At the end of each session there was a review with photos of each of the boys to highlight areas of improvement. I really can’t recommend the school highly enough. When we’re back in Bali I’m sure we will be back for more lessons! I suppose most importantly, by the end of the week the boys all felt they had learned a lot and are all competent surfers.

Professional and kind

I really recommend this surf school. The staff are all so kind and professional! I had 5x2 lessons and it was so nice to improve each time and learn new things. Also they have everything you need, including shower, towel, water and watermelon. :-)
