Great for the family

My kids loved this park. it was just great and we easily spent 2 days here. They have 2 water parks, one is at a height. A tip here is that the waterpark at the height has a slightly hidden escalator on the left of the staircase if you dont wish to climb. There is an indian fast food restaurant in the park as well

Disappointing and expensive for what you get

We arrived by taxi at the theme park, we had paid online but there were not heavy lineups even though it was the weekend, we arrived late morning. Easy smooth entry, staff helpful, in fact overall staff was helpful. Pricing if you are not Malaysian however is quite high. I was obliged to pay "international TRAVELLER" rate even though I have been living in Malaysia for 4 years with a resident visa...and we had to pay 40 RM for a small locker that did the job. The park is nothing special but it's ok but not for the high price we paid. We had pizza for lunch and it was good but as to be expected at this expensive park, it was a touch expensive. We went to see the various theme parks and rides but mostly for the water park. We went on the best ride and it was fun but not so long. We visited a few other things which were nothing special before getting wet at the water park (bring your own towels). Well the water park was a boring and dull dud and the water not so clear, not dirty but not so clear... we get to the theme park at 11:00 and then go to the water park in the top of the afternoon... and the big wave pool, well it won't have waves until 4:30 pm! Yup scheduled that way according to the life guard swimming in the pool. What a joke, most of the day will be done before you get one wave. My daughter and I have been to other water parks in Thailand and Malaysia and North America and that is a first. Since the overall park is kind of boring and on the old side, we did not want to wait 3 1/2 hours for the waves. There are much better water parks in Malaysia in Penang for much less money and they are MUCH better. I can't recommend the place, the fact it is clean and staff are nice does not offset that the park is boring, dated and has a water park with just big open water pool but not as promised with waves etc. Go somewhere else in KL with your kids especially if you are not Malaysian, because here they will charge you much more even if you live in Malaysia.

Response from the operator: As per the law, you can stay in any country with 20 years also no issues but the nationality never changed.

Sunway lagoon park. Best day ever

Sunway Lagoon Park is a great place where everyone can enjoy and I really mean it. If u need to refresh from hot weather there is an aquapark, if you need some trills and adventure-- the amusement park is there, if you are looking for a place to walk and enjoy the nature -- the zoo and birds park is there. Some tips -- take with u the swimming clothes if u are planning aqua park and after can change and continue exploring the rest of the park or the mall next to it. Well done for the park management for promoting sustainability. Secondly, do not miss the birds show, animals feeding timings and the zoo guide tour; I reccomend to buy there special bag to feed animals and fishes, its a great fun and good gesture Special thanks for the amazing tours to Foong and Jessica ( amazing guide and story telling about animals) Definitely recommend to visit and thanks for the best day ever

Sunway lagoon Theme Park: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kuala Lumpur.

How much does Sunway lagoon Theme Park cost?

+

Prices start at $71 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kuala Lumpur usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sunway lagoon Theme Park take?

+

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kuala Lumpur is not rushed.

Is Sunway lagoon Theme Park worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 46 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Kuala Lumpur, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sunway lagoon Theme Park?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Sunway lagoon Theme Park suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sunway lagoon Theme Park?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kuala Lumpur can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kuala Lumpur and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sunway lagoon Theme Park start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kuala Lumpur within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kuala Lumpur?

+

On Outty we rank every Kuala Lumpur experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sambal Streets Kuala Lumpur Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Genting Highland & Batu Cave Guided Day Tour (SIC/Shared Tour), Private Half-Day Batu Caves and Cutural Tour in Kuala Lumpur. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kuala Lumpur?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kuala Lumpur?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
