Bumpy ride
This was a private tour. Only the two of us on it. We decided to have a quad each. Well after 30 mins, I'd had enough. I didn't realise that it was going to be such bumpy terrain. At one point I thought my breasts were going to bounce right off my chest. And I'm not a well endowed lady!!! The guide didn't speak any English. But understood that I couldn't carry on. It had knocked me sick. I wasnt sure if I wanted to vomit or pass out! He put me on his quad and got me to the rest point. Here we found another guide that did speak English. He was kind enough to translate for us, then offer me a lift back to the bas in one of their jeeps. I must say, I much preferred the jeep ride. My husband and the guide continued on the quads. When me hubby got back, he said they'd had a great time. Going up and done big hills/ dunes. He was really bussing. Overall, this was a great experience. I can't knock it. But my advice is, unless you are a big, strong lady, I'd opt for the jeep tour. Great for the lads though.
Response from the operator: First of all, thank you so much for your review. We really appreciate this. I'm sorry to hear that you became ill while driving the quad. It can indeed be very bumpy along the way, but this also makes it adventurous. Good to hear that everything turned out well in the end and that you were safely returned to the base by jeep and that your husband did not get sick and was able to enjoy it. And indeed, in your case, a jeep safari will be more pleasant for next time. Hopefully, see you both next time and then with one of our Jeep safaris so that you both can complete the entire tour together. And more importantly, without getting sick.

Super nice quad tour in the desert
We have already taken several tours and excursions with the crew of the Gazelle organizers and were always thrilled. So this time too - since it was just me and my wife, we could experience the desert at a pace suitable for each of us. Mustafa always has something to tell and the tour has a pleasant duration. Absolute highlight is when you drive from the desert directly to the sea - breathtaking views. Can be recommended without restriction, like any tour of Gazelle.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review! We are happy to hear you had a beautiful day and experience with us. We really appreciate this.

Mando was a real fun host and took some awesome pictures! He really did look after us and was very patient. Why this scores 51
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sunset Quad Safari from El Gouna and Hurghada: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.
How much does Sunset Quad Safari from El Gouna and Hurghada cost?
+
Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hurghada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sunset Quad Safari from El Gouna and Hurghada take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hurghada is not rushed.
Is Sunset Quad Safari from El Gouna and Hurghada worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sunset Quad Safari from El Gouna and Hurghada?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sunset Quad Safari from El Gouna and Hurghada suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 16. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Sunset Quad Safari from El Gouna and Hurghada?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sunset Quad Safari from El Gouna and Hurghada start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hurghada?
+
On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada: Luxor Valley of the Kings & Tutankhamun Tomb Trip, Orange Bay Island, Luxury Cruise to Orange Bay and Hula Hula island Trip. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hurghada?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hurghada?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
