The tour operator did not show up and only much later an explanation was given.

Unfortunately, I can't write a good reference. After all, the operator did not show up and only after calling himself did it become clear that "something" was wrong. It was only much later that we were told that the person who had to pick us up had fallen with his moped and that his smartphone was broken, so he could not reach us. Unfortunately.

Special experience

Awesome experience with Etienne, cool guy I got a long with well. I went for a solo experience because there weren't enough people to make up a group tour that week I was in Hoi An. I'm so glad I went for the private option as I feel like it was more personal and allowed me to ask all the questions I wanted to and have a unique experience with the locals. I would definitely recommend the private over group if you already know a few things about photography. Overall I went home with a different and refreshing perspective on photography as well as experiencing anad capturing a little bit of another lifestyle. This has re ignited my passion for photography.

A great tour for all photography levels

Had a great tour with Etienne, I was a photography beginner but it did not matter. Etienne helped me with some of the basics of photography to set me on the right path. It was a friendly tour with some great photo opportunities and would recommend to anyone at any level of photography

Response from the operator: Thanks à lot James again for joining this tour! It's not about being a beginner or advanced photographer, it's about wanting to learn and improve 😊 See you again soon!

Private One-on-One Tour to Countryside was Perfect!

Jean was responsive from my initial email in finding the right tour for my needs as a experienced photographer and first-time visitor to Hoi An. We finally decided that a Private Countryside Tour best fit my interests and schedule. Loved that we began the session by sitting down at a riverside cafe to talk about my photo style, preferences and objectives for the 4 hours we had together. He had prepared by looking at my Instagram feed and had a feeling for my work....impressive. He gave me tips and ideas that immediately had me shooting with greater variety. Since I am hesitant to shoot street portraits, we spent time talking about how to approach people, and even more importantly, he shared his love for the local people and how honest interest and openness bridges cultural gaps. I photographed villagers who were his friends, acquaintances, and strangers and learned so much about how to better use my camera, and myself, to share stories. Jean was an outstanding mentor. I've taken many highly regarded professional photo workshops, including weeklong residency, and my time with Jean ranks right up with the best.

Sunset photo tour with the farmers: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hoi An.

How much does Sunset photo tour with the farmers cost?

+

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hoi An usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sunset photo tour with the farmers take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hoi An is not rushed.

Is Sunset photo tour with the farmers worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sunset photo tour with the farmers?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sunset photo tour with the farmers suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Sunset photo tour with the farmers?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sunset photo tour with the farmers start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hoi An within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hoi An?

+

On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hoi An?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hoi An?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
