Memorable hike with stunning views on CDMX
It was truly a memorable hike with stunning views on Mexico City. The guide was very good an I truly appreciate that both the guide and his friend adapted to my slower pace. We made the hike uphill 1:50 h and arrived in time for watching the sunrise. It is amazing to see how the impression of the landscape and CDMX change within 1 1/2 hours. When planning your trip, keep in mind that you will be waiting on a chilly hill with no sunshine and movement for 90 minutes, so bring warm clothes, warm socks and gloves.

(No) Experience
We bought two tickets for the morning hike after we chatted with customer service to clarify some questions. Really early in the morning we took an Uber to the meeting point so that we have been there a few minutes before the starting time of 3am in the morning. Tired but excited we waited in front of the Six Flags but nobody showed up. We didn’t get any message. We weren’t able to reach anyone (not the tour operator directly via WhatsApp and Viator Chat nor Viator directly). So what do you do in the middle of nowhere somewhere in CDMX?! After 45 min of waiting we luckily were able to get an Uber back to our hotel. We haven’t heard anything from the tour operator yet. We got a refund of the tour costs for the ticket, but not for the Uber rides. This was such a disappointing experience. Not just that we really wanted to do the sunrise hike and were ghosted. More that we went to an outside meeting point in the middle of the night to get nothing. Can really not recommend!

I highly recommend it and besides it is seen that it has been years in this.
First of all it indicated what we needed to take to have a fabulous experience. The super attentive guide, knowing perfectly how to get to the place and apart was beautiful, put us into caves and that was super father. Besides all the time super attentive, taking care of the crew we were with him. I highly recommend it 10 out of 10.

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sunrise in Las Alturas Hiking in El Pico del Aguila Tlalpan: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.
How much does Sunrise in Las Alturas Hiking in El Pico del Aguila Tlalpan cost?
+
Prices start at $1800 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sunrise in Las Alturas Hiking in El Pico del Aguila Tlalpan take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.
Is Sunrise in Las Alturas Hiking in El Pico del Aguila Tlalpan worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sunrise in Las Alturas Hiking in El Pico del Aguila Tlalpan?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sunrise in Las Alturas Hiking in El Pico del Aguila Tlalpan suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Sunrise in Las Alturas Hiking in El Pico del Aguila Tlalpan?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sunrise in Las Alturas Hiking in El Pico del Aguila Tlalpan start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mexico City?
+
On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mexico City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mexico City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
