They never contacted me; the flights in Cappadocia were canceled, and I contacted them for the refund request and they have not provided any follow-up.

    Amazing Experience

Our hot air balloon experience in Cappadocia was absolutely amazing — truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Floating above the landscape as the sun set was something I’ll never forget. The views were breathtaking, with the unique rock formations and valleys looking even more magical from above. The whole experience felt very well organised, and the atmosphere was calm and surreal the entire time. Watching the sky change colours while drifting peacefully was just incredible. One thing to note is that there are no bathrooms available at the balloon take-off or landing sites, so it’s best to plan ahead. It was also incredible to watch the skill of the crew — we actually landed the basket perfectly onto the back of the trailer, which was seriously impressive. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Cappadocia — it’s something you have to experience at least once.

    FIASCO

The balloon sunrise flight did not happen. It was canceled because of bad weather and one would think the agency would rebook you the following day but they did not. Instead they wanted to charge us over $400. Dollars per person. I paid for this booking many months ago and they would not respect the price I had of $298, for both of us in Goreme. I am very upset because this was not handled professionally.

    Breathtaking panorama

We had this experience of flying when we were resigned to not doing it because despite booking in advance, with a wind exceeding 6 km / h The Turkish flight authority does not authorize any balloon flight on all the streets of Cappadocia. The first day was faded precisely because of the presence of wind, but fortunately the second day we got up in the air at dawn over the Red Valley and the fairy chimneys. The flight lasts an hour you get up at dawn and you are picked up at the hotel by bus to take you to the take-off field and you can watch them inflate the gigantic balloon that then supports the basket that contains up to 26 people with the crew (a pilot and a collaborator) the cost is exaggerated but given the strong demand the more than 100 agencies in Goreme and its surroundings do not scrupulously and safely at the modest price of 220 -260 euros. Watch out for sites that make you book a month before at almost half price and then give cancellation the day before the flight with the possibility of making the flight the next day at a triplicate price. The flight itself is something fabulous, you do not suffer because it is very slow and without bumps, the view you see is indescribable, try to believe

    Big Disappointment- HORRIBLE Communication

Subject to cancellation if even low winds. It was 5mph this day but no balloons allowed to fly. WORST part of- announcement of ban was made by gov’t at 3:06am. But operator did not advise. So got up at 4 and waited until 6:10 before I called to only then find out no balloons. When suggesting operator should advise clients if cancelled, got a “too many clients and would take long time” response.

Sunrise Balloon Flight: In Cappadocia: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Goreme.

How much does Sunrise Balloon Flight: In Cappadocia cost?

    +

Prices start at $220 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Goreme usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sunrise Balloon Flight: In Cappadocia take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Goreme is not rushed.

Is Sunrise Balloon Flight: In Cappadocia worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 42 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.2/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Goreme, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sunrise Balloon Flight: In Cappadocia?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sunrise Balloon Flight: In Cappadocia suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sunrise Balloon Flight: In Cappadocia?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Goreme can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Goreme and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sunrise Balloon Flight: In Cappadocia start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Goreme within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Goreme?

    +

On Outty we rank every Goreme experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Red (North) Tour Cappadocia (small group) with lunch and tickets, Green (South) Tour Cappadocia (small group) with lunch and ticket, Cappadocia Green Tour - Classic Route (Popular). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Goreme?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Goreme?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
