Pedal Your Way Through Mexico City’s Food Scene

We had such a great time on this biking food tour with Valentin and Amistad. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the city and made us feel safe and comfortable navigating the streets the entire time. The pace was perfect, with a nice mix of biking and stops to try different foods. It was a fun and efficient way to see the Roma and Condesa neighborhoods and experience a variety of local spots we probably wouldn’t have found on our own. Highly recommend if you want a more immersive way to explore Mexico City!

Enjoy Roma Norte with the Bikes and Munchies crew!

I had a fabulous experience with Marisa and Alejandra! We came to Mexico City for the San Diego Padres baseball game, and heard great things about Bikes and Munchies, so we booked a bike/food tour. We had the best time exploring Roman Norte… this is truly an exceptional area in Mexico City with lots of cute coffee, shops, bakeries, variety of foods, and Mexican originals.:) One opportunity for improvement would be getting a microphone or stopping in areas that aren’t so loud… At times it was hard to hear the tour guides. But they were very knowledgeable, kind, and fun. They made sure we were very safe on the roads while bicycle riding, too. Anyone can do it! One recommendation for tourists is to bring padded spandex // etc for your bum. The bicycle seats are not in great shape. The bikes are totally safe (I work for a bicycle manufacturer); brakes and chains are intact. However seats are not comfortable, handlebars can be narrow or wide, and helmets are not the best. It would be awesome to get a few upgrades with bike seats and helmet when possible! Thank you very much ladies for making the day so memorable. We will definitely see you next time!! Xoxo

Highly recommend

Awesome food tour of Roma and Condesa! The bike rides were very secure and easy to follow. It was nice to be able to see points of interest as well as trying food. It ends with a very long bike ride which was a perfect way to get in some exercise after eating for several hours. We went on a Sunday morning when the main roads are closed and it was an incredible way to get around the city.

Delicious food, fun bicycling, and a bit of history

Velia and Rodrigo were FANTASTIC tour guides on our Roma and Condesa food tour by bicycle! Not only excellent bites but great insights. We got to explore new foods at authentic local spots we’d never have found on our own! And they took great care in keeping us safe, with a safety rider stopping at each intersection to pause traffic for us. Useful advice, personal insights, and a warm vibe that made us feel welcome. THANK YOU!!

Super fun bike tour with 3 stops for tacos and local history

The Bikes and Munchies tour was a great time. Valentin, Miranda and Velia were great guides who worked as a team to get us through the city. Food sampling was great, quick bits of history throughout the tour, and enjoyed the group of guests that were with us. 13 bikers, 3 guides, and lots of fun!

Street Food Tour with Friends: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.

How much does Street Food Tour with Friends cost?

+

Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Street Food Tour with Friends take?

+

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.

Is Street Food Tour with Friends worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 331 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Street Food Tour with Friends?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Street Food Tour with Friends suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 14. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4.5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Street Food Tour with Friends?

+

Around 116 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Street Food Tour with Friends start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mexico City?

+

On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mexico City?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mexico City?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
