We welcome you to discover the real flavors, colors, and rhythm of Panama City on our street-food tasting adventure that goes far beyond restaurants. This is not a sit-down meal—it’s a walking experience through the city’s most authentic neighborhoods, where you’ll taste, learn, and connect with the people behind Panama’s local cuisine. Start at the Seafood Market with three types of ceviche, then explore San Felipe Neri Market to sample Afro-Caribbean dishes, tropical juices, Geisha coffee, and hot sauces. Continue along Avenida Central for tamales and a visit to a local bakery. In El Chorrillo, enjoy coconut fish, BBQ chicken, smoked chorizo, and escabeche fish, served in tasting portions. Optional rum cocktail or juice included. This is a tasting tour, not a full meal. Please note: This is a tasting tour, not a full meal at each stop. The experience focuses on authentic local life, culture, and connection rather than fine dining.

DEFINITELY go on the street food tour.
My friends and I went on the street food tour on a whim. It was the most informative, delicious, and window into local life in Panama City and all the deliciousness that comes with it. The leaders of the tour were from the community, passionate about it, and it showed in the best way possible. It was a good balance of meals, snacks, drinks, and more in a way that made sense for the hours we spent together. That said I would not eat beforehand. The best food came closer to the end. I would 1000x recommend. I can’t wait to try thier other tours and experiences.

The Best Food Tour!
You should absolutely do this tour, what an amazing experience. From the food, to the story telling, to being with the locals. We have been on food tours all over the world and this was a stand out. Do NOT miss out!

Our Favourite Tour—Incredible Food and People! 12/10
Of the four tours we did back to back—including San Blas, a Colón street tour and a canal tour—this was easily our favourite. It also happened to be the closest and have the most convenient start time, but that had nothing to do with why we loved it! The whole experience ran like a well-oiled machine, with military precision. After every tasting, the team came around with hand sanitiser and wipes, collected our rubbish and guided us to the next stop. They helped us cross roads, pointed out uneven pavements and made sure everyone was looked after. Along the way, they shared the stories behind the vendors and their food. And the food itself? Delicious. I was absolutely stuffed by the end! The biggest surprise was visiting neighbourhoods we’d previously been warned to avoid. Learning that the whole team comes from—and still lives in—the area made the experience feel very personal. The people we met were so welcoming, with so many saying, “Welcome to Panama.” The children we met in the streets really touched our hearts. Seeing these neighbourhoods through the eyes of the people who call them home completely changed my perspective. With the team guiding us, we felt comfortable and welcome throughout. Thinking about it, parts reminded me of where I grew up. Listening to their stories and learning how the area has changed, how it’s growing and what’s happening there added so much to the experience. We had such a good time that we honestly didn’t want it to end. 12/10—an absolute must-do! We’ll definitely book again when friends or family visit, and I’ll be going back for more of that food. These guys are truly great!

Not Your Average Food Tour. Book it now!
More than your average food tour. Lasts 5-6 hours with lots of stops. Delighted to be guided by a couple who actually live in the areas we toured. The tour guides and helpers were amazing and you could tell that they absolutely love this part of Panama City (Santa Ana, San Felipe and El Chorillo). Mixing with the locals and really seeing every day life for the native Panamanian. If you only do one tour whilst in Panama, this without doubt should be it. You will not regret it.

The Soul of Panama
I can not express how entertaining and informative both Elena and Jonathan were, and along with Isaac and “Flacco” their trusted assistants this was by far THE BEST Viator tour I’ve had. The food.was amazing and had I not gone on this tour I would have only skimmed the surface of Panamanian culture and cuisine. From the very beginning we started with ceviche and we ended in the town of San Anna with Escovitch mentioning everything in between would only do them a disservice, it is a must try adventure that can only be experienced! Thank you Elena and Johnathan for a great afternoon and much success in all your endeavors!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Panama City.
How much does Street Food Tour Panama City (25+ tastings) By Paradox Experience cost?
+
Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Panama City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Street Food Tour Panama City (25+ tastings) By Paradox Experience take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Panama City is not rushed.
Is Street Food Tour Panama City (25+ tastings) By Paradox Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 160 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Panama City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Street Food Tour Panama City (25+ tastings) By Paradox Experience?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Street Food Tour Panama City (25+ tastings) By Paradox Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Street Food Tour Panama City (25+ tastings) By Paradox Experience?
+
Around 56 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Panama City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Panama City and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Street Food Tour Panama City (25+ tastings) By Paradox Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Panama City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Panama City?
+
On Outty we rank every Panama City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tour to a waterfall and Embera village with lunch included, Ocean to Ocean Combo: Canal Boat Safari, Agua Clara & Gatun Locks, Half day of Panama city and canal tour: shared and private. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Panama City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Panama City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
