Eat, Walk, Learn with Carlos!

Carlos was fantastic!! We got to meet him right on time, and walked Getsemani and the walled city. Got a lot of knowledge about history of the area and the food we ate, and he was able to keep my 15 year old son very engaged the whole time as well! Because it was private we had some flexibility in some of the things we got to ask about and see. The food was incredible, his history knowledge was incredible and he was so kind and thoughtful throughout the whole time. We even sent him some messages after we departed asking for help and he immediately provided recommendations and advice.

Delightful

Fabulous tour with Mario. We enjoyed the best of the walled old city of Cartagena and Getsamani. Great commentary offered by Mario throughout. We were able to capture beautiful street photography, saw sloths and monkeys, and enjoyed local flavors of food and life. Prompt air-conditioned transportation from and to the cruise ship pier, with time to spare. Highly recommend this delightful tour and guide Mario!

Beautiful, colorful intro to Colombia

We enjoyed the absolute best time on this tour with Mario. He contacted us the day before via WhatsApp to ensure he could introduce himself and customize our tour to our interests. We wanted to do more of a street photography tour with some snacks along the way. He delivered that and so so much more. He was able to find the most colorful tapestry of life in Cartagena. We enjoyed Getsamani and the wall city, with historical and cultural commentary along the way. He treated us to wonderfully fresh juices, fruits, arepas and other goodies. We thoroughly enjoyed every piece of this tour, and felt completely safe and comfortable with Mario, knowing that he would get us back to the ship on time. He is an absolute gem of a tour guide - a friend and guide to his beautiful Colombia. Highly recommend this tour to any cruiseship passengers on tight schedules and anyone else. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Street Food Tour in Cartagena Walled City and Getsemani: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cartagena.

How much does Street Food Tour in Cartagena Walled City and Getsemani cost?

+

Prices start at $38 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cartagena usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Street Food Tour in Cartagena Walled City and Getsemani take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cartagena is not rushed.

Is Street Food Tour in Cartagena Walled City and Getsemani worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 142 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cartagena, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Street Food Tour in Cartagena Walled City and Getsemani?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Street Food Tour in Cartagena Walled City and Getsemani suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Street Food Tour in Cartagena Walled City and Getsemani?

+

Around 50 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cartagena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cartagena and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Street Food Tour in Cartagena Walled City and Getsemani start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cartagena within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cartagena?

+

On Outty we rank every Cartagena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cartagena Street Food Tour: 10 Local Tastings in the Walled City, Historic Center & Getsemaní Shared Tour in Cartagena, Cartagena Cooking Class with Local Chef (Small Group Experience). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cartagena?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cartagena?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
