A Unique Athens Experience

Even though my mother and I arrived late and missed the walking portion of the tour, Kalliopi was incredibly accommodating. When we called her, she invited us to meet her directly at the studio for the workshop portion instead. Kalliopi was extremely kind, helpful, and knowledgeable throughout the experience. The workshop offered plenty of creative options for designing your own bag, making it a truly hands-on activity. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience in Athens!

A Fantastic and Colorful Experience!

This walking tour through the Gazi and Kerameiko areas is filled with incredible street art murals and, of course, graffiti. Our guide, Kalliopi, was fun to be with, and we learned a lot from her about the origins of many of the murals, as well as the “code” (if you will) of the taggers who create the graffiti. Some of the streets and cozy byways we traversed were extremely colorful because of the street art or graffiti on the walls. After the tour we went to Kalliopi’s studio and created (decorated) our very own totes. This was a very fun activity. I highly recommended it!

Great Tour!

Wonderful guide! Kaliope was friendly, super knowledgeable, and has a real passion for the art. The tote bag portion of the tour was outstanding. We went back to her art studio where we had the opportunity to work with aerosols and a variety of other art mediums on walls as well as the tote, which was easier to transport home. Don’t miss this tour!

Wonderful Art Experience

This was our third time in Athens, and we were looking for a fresh experience. This turned out to be the perfect way to discover the city’s contemporary art scene and get a deeper sense of what Athens is really about today. And the workshop was the cherry on the top. We only wish we had done it sooner. Loved every moment!

Great walking tour and fun workshop!

Great walk around the neighborhood and workshop with artist Kalliopi! She showed us and talked about both the famous murals and intriguing works by anonymous artists. Back in the studio, we spray-painted our totes and decorated them using stencils or freehand drawing. Kalliopi was very helpful, so totes came out great!

Street Art Tour & Graffiti Painting Workshop in Athens: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Street Art Tour & Graffiti Painting Workshop in Athens cost?

+

Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Street Art Tour & Graffiti Painting Workshop in Athens take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Street Art Tour & Graffiti Painting Workshop in Athens worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Street Art Tour & Graffiti Painting Workshop in Athens?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Street Art Tour & Graffiti Painting Workshop in Athens suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Street Art Tour & Graffiti Painting Workshop in Athens?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Street Art Tour & Graffiti Painting Workshop in Athens start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

+

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
