Wonderful day! Excellent guide
Daniel was a great guide in a number of ways. He was very knowledgeable and informative about Chile and the region we were visiting, as well as the history of the country in general. He took the time to share information during our drive to and from the venues. We were taken to a bio dynamic winery in the Casablanca region at a time where there were no other tourists present, so we were able to have a more personalized experience and take in the beautiful scenery in a more serene setting. Once in Valparaiso, Daniel was excited to share information about the art and the artists who painted the impressive murals. We were given time on our own to wonder in the area and have lunch in a place or our choosing. We were never rushed and Daniel seemed genuinely concerned about making sure all our questions were answered and that we were enjoying our time. It was my favourite place in Chile- in part thanks to Daniel!

Wonderful day in quirky Valparaiso
Daniel picked me and another guest up and shared the history of the region along the drive. We stopped at a winery which wasn’t my favorite vintage but the spot was beautiful and the tasting intimate. In Valparaiso Daniel shared his favorite street art and restaurant recommendations while giving my companion and I time to move at our own pace. I have a relative buried at the cemetery of dissidents and he graciously made a detour so I could pay my respects. Daniel is a wealth of knowledge and curious. The weather was great and we had a lovely day.

Amazing day of adventures
Daniel is a master guide who loves to share the true beauty and culture of Chile, particularly Valparaiso and the valleys between Santiago. I'm confident that he could stick to a published itinerary but is keen to tweak his day to meet the desire and interests of his guests. This is not a "checklist" tour, it is an exploration of daily life through the eyes of the local peoples: a perfect day for the curious traveler as opposed to conventional tourism. Advance communication via WhatsApp was timely and informative, even modifying pick up to our hotel which wasn't available on the reservation form. Stops were timed to avoid peak tourism times so we had more intimate experiences. We were never rushed at any location and encouraged to explore on our own after Daniel's introduction. Whilst food and drink not included, a variety of options were offered, each with its own unique appeal. We parted this tour with a much better understanding of this rich culture and will consider Daniel a friend and resource regarding all things Chile!

Chilean experience, not a tourist experience.
I am not a fan of tours in general but I wanted something to help ground and direct my time in Valparaiso because the art is so vast. I was hesitant to book a tour because I find them rushed and centred on experiencing the country as a tourist. When I travel, I want to experience the places I'm visiting as the local people experience them. I am grateful that Progressive Tours made it feel like a Chilean experience, not a tourist experience. Our host, Daniel, never made the group feel rushed, and knew people at each one of the stops we encountered, so we got to visit with more Chilean people who were all so happy to welcome us. The art was phenomenal, but Progressive Tours made the the day feel truly exceptional. Chile is now a vacation destination for me in large part because of this experience. Highly recommend.

5 star tour. Would recommend to all
Daniel let an informative and entertaining group tour to Valparaiso. Very enjoyable and learned a lot about Chilean art, history and commerce during the day. The city is a wonderland of art and the citizens obviously take a great deal of pride in their city. Enjoyed stop offs at the harbor, looking at amazing murals and city views of the ocean, and a funicular ride as well which is always enjoyable. Definitely feel this trip helps flesh out a trip to Santiago and gives some added color without having to travel too far. Very enjoyable day!
