About this experience
Walking down the lanes of Agra leaves one absorbed by the aroma of the different spices, various food stalls and the overall diverse cuisines of the city. Be it while looking at the century-old spice shops at Rawatpada or eating the delectable and famous mutton stew at Pakiza Meat Shop, it is a wonder how different spices and flavours blend into the living history of the city, and how modern alterations to the original dishes over time have created new flavours that still retain the cultural significance of the dish. Join us on a food tour across the old city as we take you through a journey of myriad palates, with a variety of different dishes ranging from Mughlai non-vegetarian cuisine to braj ke bhalle, and discuss how the different spices/preparations used by generations have influenced the food and living culture of the city.

Well worth the money
Interesting tour of Agra & its history including a few nibbles here & there of food & the spices. Khaleem was engaging & obviously loves his city. We wandered down streets & alleys that you wouldn't really stumble across. I love food tours as it tells the story of a place so I'd fully recommend you do one - you won't be disappointed !
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review. It was a pleasure to host you.

The Treasure of our Trip
If you are looking to see another, better side of Agra, look no further. Agra Heritage Walks provided us a glimpse into what Agra has to offer beyond the Taj, and we were not disappointed. Between sharing incredible food and drinks through the course of the walk, accompanied by the perspectives and stories from the locals, we grew familiar with what the city has to offer in terms of food, history, culture, and people. Tahir was a charming host, incredible storyteller, and has great taste, showing us spots around town, not only for food, but for leisure, admiring the architecture, facilitating conversation, and of course, plenty for eating. Agra Heritage Walks is actively preserving the history of this community, and their work is phenomenal. Additionally, he adapted to our last minute planning and accommodated us regardless, with quick response and a smile on his face. Only compliments to Agra Heritage Walks for showing us your beautiful city. What a gem.
Response from the operator: Thank you Beckett. Look forward to host you again.

Experience Agra, Guided by Perfection.
Just wanted to throw a quick appreciation. Honestly, it was a real pleasure to have Agra Heritage Walks guide us through our visit to Agra. It really made a world of a difference. Agra Fort: The guided tour of the Agra Fort was immensely improved because of all the intriguing and in depth information provided by Khaleem, our guide for this experience. Heritage Food Walk: The guided food walk experience through the heritage streets of the city of Agra, provided by Tahir, I must say, it was curated to absolute perfection. I absolutely loved it. Truly an enjoyable experience. A must for any food lover looking for a fully curated food walk through the historical parts of Agra city. Thank you for taking the time and effort to make it such a wonderful experience for us.

A walk through streets of Agra with food, music, history and culture : An underrated experience
As a food lover and sucker for trying anything new when it comes to food, I had an amazing experience with Akbarabadi food trail curated for us by Tahir Bhai. It was one of the most unique experiences I've ever had. Every food and every street had a story! Chimmanlal aloo Puri, Disco Aloo, Anjeer Halwa, Soan Halwa at Gopal Peth, Cafe Ghalib, Pakiza mutton, Daulat ki Chaat, Makhan ki gujiya.. all exceptional, unique , tasty amazing food absolutely to die for. The passion that Tahir Bhai has for the culture of Agra made it even better. If you are ever in Agra, this is an experience you should definitely try because no food blogger or Google map can help you find these locations. PS: Urdu shayari under the moon at Cafe Ghalib is another experience to look forward to

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Story of Spices- A Food Tour of Agra: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Agra.
How much does Story of Spices- A Food Tour of Agra cost?
+
Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Agra usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Story of Spices- A Food Tour of Agra take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Agra is not rushed.
Is Story of Spices- A Food Tour of Agra worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Agra, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Story of Spices- A Food Tour of Agra?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Story of Spices- A Food Tour of Agra suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Story of Spices- A Food Tour of Agra?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Agra can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Agra and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Story of Spices- A Food Tour of Agra start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Agra within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Agra?
+
On Outty we rank every Agra experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Taj Mahal Sunrise and Agra Fort Skip the Line Tour, Taj Mahal Skip-the-Line Guided Tour with Multiple Options, Agra: Private Sunrise Taj Mahal & Agra City Tour":. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Agra?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Agra?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
