Fun missions with bad murder mystery

The assignment is not picked up in Gamla Stan so we had to walk a bit, in addition, you need to scan a qr code to get it out. But otherwise no technology is required, which is good. The first and last clues were sadly hidden by scaffolding, something the dispenser did not disclose so it took a lot of time and searching unnecessarily. The mission hunting was fun and we saw other parts of the Old Town than usual. But the murder mystery was carelessly written and gave far too little information to solve it (the killer was not even among our three main suspects), important information came only in hindsight. The whole thing about earning minutes we ignored, felt unnecessary. We should perhaps have chosen a different time of year than the most touristy, it was crowded and messy, and hot! Would have liked toilets marked on the map - can recommend it at the castle.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed exploring parts of Gamla Stan that you might not otherwise have visited, and that you appreciated being able to complete the mystery without relying on technology. We're very sorry that the scaffolding covered two of the clues during your visit. Unfortunately, temporary changes like construction work can happen without notice, but we agree that you should have been informed if the pickup location was aware of it. We'll follow up on this and see how we can better communicate such issues in the future. We also appreciate your feedback about the mystery story and ending. We're always looking for ways to improve our mysteries, and comments like yours help us identify where the narrative and clues can be made clearer and more satisfying. Your suggestion about marking public toilets on the map is also a great idea, especially during the busy summer season. Thank you again for your thoughtful review. We hope you'll give one of our other mysteries a try in the future!

    Just okay

Clues were okay. It was pretty challenging overall. Good to force you to walk around the area but nothing that special. Would skip next time. Would recommend if you have a long time in Stockholm and not much to do.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the challenge and that the mystery encouraged you to explore Stockholm on foot. We're sorry to hear the experience didn't quite meet your expectations. Our goal is to combine sightseeing with an engaging detective story, and we understand that the experience won't be the perfect fit for everyone. We truly appreciate your honest comments, as they help us continue improving our mysteries. Thank you for giving us a try, and we wish you many more great adventures in the future!

    Fun but difficult!

This was a very detail oriented activity. We did not solve the murder but enjoyed an afternoon of walking off the beaten path and seeing things we would not have seen otherwise.

Response from the operator: Dear Donna, Thank you for your lovely review! Not every detective cracks the case on the first try — some mysteries are simply better at keeping their secrets 😉 We’re so happy to hear that you still enjoyed the experience, discovered hidden spots, and got to explore parts of the city you might not otherwise have seen. Hopefully the culprit won’t stay safe forever 🔎✨ Regs. Rasmus

    Great team-building activity

We did this activity as a team-building event with our work colleagues, and it was just perfect. We were in groups of three or four people, working together to solve the clues while enjoying a pleasant walk through the Old City and learning exciting new facts about its buildings. It took us around two hours, after which all the groups met at a nearby restaurant to share our experiences. It was the perfect activity to spend quality time with colleagues.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re really happy to hear that the experience worked so well as a team-building activity 😊 It sounds like the perfect mix of collaboration, problem-solving, and exploring the city together — exactly what we aim for 🔎 Ending the adventure by gathering afterwards to share theories and stories is truly the perfect way to wrap it all up. Thank you for recommending it as a way to spend quality time with colleagues — it truly means a lot!

Discover the Old Town in a new and fun way

Fun activity for a small group. We saw a lot from the Old Town with different eyes and discovered details we did not know about. Then the solution was simpler than we thought, we complicated it unnecessarily, even if the solution was also outside-the-box! It takes some good weather to appreciate this 2 - 2½ hours outside. We had a lunch in the meantime to keep the energy.

Response from the operator: Stort tack för er fina återkoppling! Mystiska hälsningar, Rasmus / Solve A Mystery

Stockholm Self-Guided Murder Mystery Tour by the Parliament: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Stockholm.

How much does Stockholm Self-Guided Murder Mystery Tour by the Parliament cost?

    +

Prices start at $58 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Stockholm usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Stockholm Self-Guided Murder Mystery Tour by the Parliament take?

    +

Plan for about 2.2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Stockholm is not rushed.

Is Stockholm Self-Guided Murder Mystery Tour by the Parliament worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Stockholm, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Stockholm Self-Guided Murder Mystery Tour by the Parliament?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Stockholm Self-Guided Murder Mystery Tour by the Parliament suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Stockholm Self-Guided Murder Mystery Tour by the Parliament?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Stockholm can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Stockholm and add a light layer if any part of the 2.2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Stockholm Self-Guided Murder Mystery Tour by the Parliament start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Stockholm within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Stockholm?

    +

On Outty we rank every Stockholm experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Stockholm: Walking Tour of the Old Town, Best of Stockholm: Small Group Walking Tour (Max 10, 3 Hours), Vasa Museum Guided Tour, Including Ticket & Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Stockholm?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Stockholm?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
