Stanley Park is larger than New York's Central Park, and most visitors see only a small part of it. Walk it with a local guide and take in the highlights in one easy outing. Stroll through the Rose Garden and out to the totem poles at Brockton Point, one of BC's most visited sights. Your guide shares the history of the poles and of the park, which sits on the lands of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Follow the Seawall past the Girl in a Wetsuit statue and the dragon figurehead from the Empress of Japan, see the Nine O'Clock Gun, which has fired every night since 1898, and take in views of the Lions Gate Bridge. Then step into the forest to find quiet Beaver Lake, a spot many visitors miss. The route is stroller-friendly, runs rain or shine, and your guide will share local tips for the rest of your trip.

    Very Interesting Tour

This was a very interesting tour and we loved our guide, Daniel, He was very informative and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions and taught us so much about Vancouver. We especially liked being able to tour the seawall area as well as the forest. Highly recommend this tour.

Terrible Organization on the part of the Tour Company

There was a planned race in Stanley park today. No one could drive in to get to the meeting point that the tour company uses. We walked into the park...a 20 minute walk to get to the Historic Bus Loop where we were supposed to meet. No one was there. We waited and waited. Then we started walking back hoping to see the guide along the way. We got ALL THE WAY BACK OUT OF THE PARK before we got a text message from the Guide (at about 10:20) saying she was going to be yet another ten minutes late and that we should turn around and walk the 20 minutes to get back to the meeting point!!! We said no....the message should have been sent to participants an hour earlier or even the night before that we should meet at a different location. People in Vancouver KNEW about this race and that the park was closed today. This was terrible organization on the part of the tour company. We saw NO ONE with a red umbrella walking in or out of the park (the sign they said to look for to find the tour guide). By 10:30 we gave up and we expect a full refund. Totally disorganized and unprofessional experience.

Stanley Park Walking Tour: Totem Poles, Seawall and Beaver Lake: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vancouver.

How much does Stanley Park Walking Tour: Totem Poles, Seawall and Beaver Lake cost?

    +

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vancouver usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Stanley Park Walking Tour: Totem Poles, Seawall and Beaver Lake take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vancouver is not rushed.

Is Stanley Park Walking Tour: Totem Poles, Seawall and Beaver Lake worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vancouver, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Stanley Park Walking Tour: Totem Poles, Seawall and Beaver Lake?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Stanley Park Walking Tour: Totem Poles, Seawall and Beaver Lake suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Stanley Park Walking Tour: Totem Poles, Seawall and Beaver Lake?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vancouver can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vancouver and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Stanley Park Walking Tour: Totem Poles, Seawall and Beaver Lake start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vancouver within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Vancouver?

    +

On Outty we rank every Vancouver experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Grand Bicycle Tour of Vancouver, The Stanley Park Bicycle Tour, Vancouver City Sightseeing Tour: Capilano Suspension Bridge & Vancouver Lookout. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Vancouver?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Vancouver?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
