What you'll see and do
Old Road Bay
Old Road is an old fishing village. In this area is a well know seafood restaurant, Sprat Net and a fish market. A short distance away your guide will drive off of the main road close to one of the health centres into the area of Wingfield Estate. You'll pass the Petroglyph of the Amerindians.

Romney Manor
As you drive past the Romney Batik (Caribelle Batik) get a slight glimpse of its gardens enroute to the forest. A short distance from Romney you will begin to see the pathway of the forest. Here you will disembark the vehicle and the guide will give a briefing and issue walking sticks. As you begin your two hour walk (one into one out of the forest) the sighting of the Green Vervet Monkey and various species of birds will be seen along with the different types of flora. Sometimes the monkeys stay out of sight especially at certain times of the day. The tour guide will introduce you to some of our medicinal plants/trees such as Trumpets Bush, Black Sage & Sour Sop just to name a few whilst trekking through this exotic part of the forest. Some of our plants and trees have grown in height and thickness with lush buttress roots e.g. Citrus, Saman, and Locus Trees. This tour is suited for persons of medium physical level (level 3 out of 5). One should be able to walk up hill, through narrow paths, over stones, small rocks and have no physical challenges. If uncertain it is always best to contact the supplier before booking. A light snack of pastry and beverage will be served prior to departure for your hotel or port. RECOMMEND: Walk with bottled water, wear durable sole sneakers, sunscreen, light trousers or shorts just above knees, T or polo shirts, blouse or any light weight top with short sleeves.
120 minutes here
This is enroute to the forest. This was a past estate where tobacco and indigo was orignally produced in the 1600s but sugar became more successful and profitable product of export. Today remnants of an aqueduct, chimney, mill house (for crushing cane) and a rum distillery discovered in 2013. Part of this area can be seen as you journey into the rainforest.

A great day in the rainforest of St Kitts
We were picked up by our guide right on time in front of the port building. We were a small group of four people. This was fantastic because the guide was able to explain things in much more detail. We took a bus ride of about 30 minutes to the rainforest. There, our hike through the stunning natural landscape of St. Kitts began. The guide took plenty of time to explain the different trees and plants to us. It was very interesting to hear that many of them have healing properties and are used as medicine. We saw so many amazing things. At the end, we could choose whether we wanted to take an easy route back or go on a little adventure. We opted for the second option. This led us up a small hill in the rainforest. There were ropes to hold onto. That was really fun. Afterwards, we had traditional pastries and a delicious, ice-cold passion fruit juice on the bus. Then we were taken back to the port. In total, we were out for about 3.5 hours. It was a great morning!

Totally disappointed, they never showed up
Very disappointed in Tropical Tours and TripAdvisor. We booked our Rain Forest tour the day before around noon. We confirmed the tour with a TripAdvisor representative on the phone who told us to be at the pick up location at 8:15. My credit card was charged within an hour. By 8:30 we called TripAdvisor who called the tour operator. They told us they did not see our reservation until the morning so they would not be picking us up. They never showed up and we could not go. Very disappointing!

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
St Kitts Half-Day Rainforest Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Soufriere.
How much does St Kitts Half-Day Rainforest Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Soufriere usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does St Kitts Half-Day Rainforest Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Soufriere is not rushed.
Is St Kitts Half-Day Rainforest Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Soufriere, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule St Kitts Half-Day Rainforest Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is St Kitts Half-Day Rainforest Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book St Kitts Half-Day Rainforest Tour?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Soufriere can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Soufriere and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does St Kitts Half-Day Rainforest Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Soufriere within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Soufriere?
+
On Outty we rank every Soufriere experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soufriere Private Tour, Fully flexible Private Saint Lucia Soufriere Tour (Land), Mudbaths, Waterfall & Botanical Gardens Tour - All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Soufriere?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Soufriere?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
