One of the best beaches in Fife for hunting for Sea shells and Sea glass, which are often found on the beach thanks to the two local Glass factories that were located here 100 years ago. Back then, unwanted glass was dumped into the sea and still washes up on the beach here after having been polished by the sea and sand.

Just okay
Our driver, Fiona, was very pleasant and her vehicle was comfortable and clean. The tour itself was lackluster. She did not offer any information or history of the areas we visited, she had to put our destinations into the GPS as if she were unsure of the locations, our first stop was to Falkland Palace & gardens, we arrived nearly an hour before it opened-a fact she was unaware of. We asked her for suggestions of places she would recommend to visit and again, she did not offer any insight. We inquired about seeing highland cows and the University of St Andrew’s. She drove to a farm she said may have some cows(there weren’t any) and she never drove us to see the university. For the money we spent for a private tour, we felt an Uber driver would have provided the same service.

Our official pickup time for this tour is 10:00 am, which coincides with the 11:00 am opening time of Falkland Palace. Unfortunately, because your party was ready to start much earlier than planned on this occasion, you arrived well ahead of schedule and before the Palace opened. Regarding the university, the University of St Andrews does not have a traditional enclosed campus. Instead, its buildings and facilities are integrated directly into the historic town center. This layout is one of the main reasons our guides allocate a couple of hours for guests to explore the town itself. As for the Highland cows, sightings are always a bit "hit-or-miss" since farmers move them from field to field. I apologize that an alternative farm location was not found for you on the day. Finally, please note that all of our guides use GPS navigation systems, which alert them to road closures, accidents, and potential delays ahead. Thank you again for helping us improve our services.

A great way to visit St. Andrews
Our driver, Darryl, customized out tour to our desires and to.e constraints. He was charming and helpful, and gave us a running history of the sites we passed and visited. A wonderful day. The vehicle was spacious and safe.

Perfect day trip from Edinburgh
We had a great day with Darryl touring the Scottish coast and St. Andrews. Darryl picked us right up in front of our hotel in a large van, plenary of room. Darryl is quite a musician and we got to hear some Scottish folk music from his former band he was in. Getting to see St. Andrews was quite a treat, and some surrounding pubs. It was a lovely day!
