Hemantha.... A friend in the foreign land

Ayubowan! My trip to Sri Lanka was made truly memorable because of our chauffeur-guide, Hemantha. In a foreign land, he was someone we could depend on completely, and his professionalism, kindness and genuine care made all the difference. Hemantha was always polite, respectful, and eager to help. Beyond simply driving me from one destination to another, he enriched our journey by sharing valuable insights and stories about the places i visited, helping me understand the culture, history and traditions of Sri Lanka. What impressed me most was his willingness to accompany and assist me regardless of the time or circumstances. When I decided to climb Kandy Rock, he joined me as a companion, ensuring my comfort and safety throughout the trek. His support and encouragement made the experience both enjoyable and memorable. He was also a trusted partner while shopping, helping me navigate local markets and bargain fairly. During our travels between cities, he consistently recommended excellent places for meals, allowing me to experience authentic local cuisine and hospitality. Over the course of our journey, Hemantha became much more than a guide. He became a friend. As a practicing Buddhist, he exemplified the values of compassion, humility, patience and mindfulness in his everyday actions. His conduct reflected the teachings he follows and that authenticity left a lasting impression on me. I wholeheartedly recommend Hemantha to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. He is not only an exceptional chauffeur-guide but also a remarkable human being who genuinely cares about the people he serves.

Highly recommended Off to Srilanka tours

Our experience with Off to Srilanka tours was absolutely seamless and brilliant! Right from helping me out with an initial quote for our trip to giving us details when we changed the itinerary, Menaka and team were absolutely accommodative and transparent in every discussion. The moment we landed in Srilanka, we were greeted with flowers and a warm welcome from Mr Hemantha who was our guide during our entire time. He was prudent and sharp in helping us out with the right and convenient eating places everywhere we went. The Toyota HiAce that he got was absolutely smooth and we couldn't have asked for a better ride for our trip. We stayed overnight in Katunayeke in an Airbnb and planned to go to Nuwar Eliya the following morning. Mr Hemantha was very punctual in picking us up and the ride to Nuwar Eliya was absolutely lovely. Colombo was hot and our choice to explore the hills (Nuwar eliya and Kandy) proved like the right decision. Our time in Nuwar Eliya the following 2 days was very memorable. Mr. Hemanta made sure we were made aware of the important historic and cultural facts throughout our time. The Victoria park, the race course, the boat ride in lake Gregory, were very memorable. We came to Kandy and Mr Hemantha made sure we witnessed 2 majestic waterfalls on our way from Nuwar eliya to Kandy. We also visited an elephant sanctuary in Pinnawala the following day that was another highlight of our trip where we got to feed and bath an elephant and even witness Monitor lizards nearby. Overall, we were glad we chose Off to Srilanka tours for our trip. Mr Hemantha is a gem of a guide and has become a friend over the course of our time there. Menaka was even considerate in forgoing some 50kms we overshot during our trip. Every person in this organisation is truly professional and more than that - truly humane, in treating guests with absolute best options. Thank you Off to Srilanka for a memorable trip!

Review on our trip

We enjoyed our 3 weeks vacation. The hotels suggested were great. Very good choices. We also booked a van with a driver for touring. Asoka, our driver was punctual, knowledgeable and blended well with us. Menaka did an excellent job emailing details to us. Very organised and precise. It was a pleasure. Thank you for making our time in SriLanka memorable.

Perfect vacation experience

We booked our Sri Lanka trip in October through Menaka. We had an amazing experience and it was so seamless. The hotels booked and the itinerary planned were beyond perfect. Lovley Sri Lanka

My son and my daughter-in-law are avid travelers, and they used the off2sriLanka tour services some time back in Sri Lanka. They were very satisfied with the services. Last month when my wife and I were planning a brief trip to Sri Lanka, they recommended we get in touch with Menaka Arangla, the owner of the off2sriLanka tours. We found that it is a small company with a personal touch. Menaka arranged the tour according to our time constraints. He assigned Simudu as our driver who was excellent.
