Your trip your way
Are you planning a trip to Sri Lanka and looking for a reliable driver/guide to explore? Look no further..Chama is your man!. My husband and I have just returned from a 13 day tour around SL with him and had an amazing experience which we will never forget. After doing a lot of research and reading reviews I came across Travel with Chama/Ceylon Chama tours and travels and immediately felt a connection.Contacted him and over a few months communicated and received quick responses. Even though I planned my itinerary and did my hotel bookings, he was flexible and sensitive to work with our needs and preferences. He is an excellent driver and we always felt safe. In addition his knowledge of places we visited and stories he shared made the long drives interesting. During visits to attractions he always stayed around which was reassuring. He arrived on time everyday with his infectious smile, went over plans for the dayand offered suggestions .We found Chama to be kind, humble and on many occasions witnessed his helpfulness towards random fellow Sri Lankans we encountered along the way. His passion for his job is amazing and reflects in the patriotism he conveys about his country and people. SL is beautiful and we hope to return to create even more memories. We strongly recommend booking with Chama..you will NOT be disappointed. Chama, we wish you all the best as you grow your business, your dedication and hard work will make your dreams a reality.

Fantastic holiday with Chama in Sri Lanka
We were so fortunate to have Chama as our guide for 15 unforgettable days in Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, he looked after us with genuine care, professionalism and warmth. Nothing was ever too much trouble — he truly went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable, safe and experiencing the very best of this beautiful country. Chama’s knowledge of Sri Lanka’s history, culture and local life added so much depth to our journey. Whether we were watching the traditional stilt fishermen along the coast, visiting stunning temples, or exploring breathtaking landscapes, he always made each experience special and meaningful. He was patient, kind and always one step ahead, ensuring everything ran smoothly. A very special mention also goes to our driver, Janaka, who made us feel completely relaxed and safe on the roads. His calm and careful driving meant we could sit back, enjoy the scenery and fully trust that we were in good hands at all times. Together, Chama and Janaka made the perfect team. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and driver, and we highly recommend Chama to anyone travelling to Sri Lanka. He will make your trip truly unforgettable.
Response from the operator: Wow This is wonderful 😊 Hope to see your family back in Sri Lanka soon Mis

RECOMMENDATION - Travel Sri Lanka With Chama
Sixteen days. Six of us. One beautiful country. And a journey we will never forget. 🇱🇰 When the six of us landed in Colombo, we were pretty tired after the long trip from Australia — excited, but definitely feeling the travel. Walking out of the airport, we were just hoping everything would run smoothly. Chama was there waiting for us with a smile and a small welcome gift, which was such a thoughtful touch after a long journey. From that first meeting, we immediately felt at ease and confident about the trip ahead. If you are planning a trip, I cannot recommend Travel Sri Lanka with Charma enough. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Not once. He didn’t just guide us — he cared for us. He adjusted plans when needed, surprised us with places that weren’t even on our itinerary, shared stories, history and laughter, and made us feel like we were travelling with a friend rather than a guide. Some of our favourite moments were the unexpected ones he added along the way. And behind the wheel was Yanaka — calm, steady and incredibly safe (which you truly appreciate on Sri Lanka’s lively village roads!). No matter the distance — from Kandy to Ella, Ella to Udawalawe, through the rainforest to Tangalle — we always felt relaxed and completely looked after. Over 16 days we experienced more than we ever imagined possible. We climbed Lion’s Rock at sunrise in Sigiriya as the mist lifted around us. We explored the Golden Temple and stood inside the Temple of the Sacred Tooth in Kandy. We watched dancers spin in brilliant costumes during a cultural show. We crossed a reservoir by catamaran, rode an ox cart through a village, and shared a home-cooked traditional lunch with locals. We wandered tea plantations and enjoyed some tea, stood beside Ramboda Waterfall, and watched a train curve across the Nine Arch Bridge in Ella. We hiked Little Adam’s Peak and braved the Flying Ravana zip line. We went on safari in Udawalawe and saw elephants, crocs, monkeys, deer, jackals, water buffalo, lots of birdlife and turtles roaming freely, then visited the Elephant Transit Home at feeding time — pure joy. We explored Sinharaja Rainforest by day, spotting wildlife and cooling off under a waterfall, and by night discovered creatures we never would have seen on our own. We relaxed on the beaches of Tangalle, celebrated Valentine’s Day with a beach BBQ under the stars, and went whale watching where we were lucky enough to see a fin whale and pods of spinner dolphins spinning through the ocean. Along the way, I even had a Sri Lankan sapphire made into a ring — a sparkling reminder of a country that now holds a very special place in our hearts. Sri Lanka is colour, culture, kindness and contrast. It is ancient temples and wild jungles, misty mountains and endless beaches. But most of all, it is its people. Chama, thank you for sharing your country with us in the way that only you can. You turned a holiday into an experience we will talk about for years. If you’re thinking about Sri Lanka — do it. And do it with Travel Sri Lanka with Chama. You won’t regret it. This trip truly had everything and it was an unforgettable adventure from beginning to end ❤️🇱🇰

Chama Tours and Travel
We had the absolute pleasure of touring Sri Lanka with our wonderful guide Chama and our amazing driver Vikum. From start to finish, they made our trip unforgettable. Despite the challenging weather and flooding during our visit, they always kept me and my three family members safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. Chama was knowledgeable, warm, and constantly smiling—his passion for Sri Lanka truly made every stop special. Vikum’s driving was exceptional; we always felt secure on the roads, even in difficult conditions. Their positivity and professionalism made all the difference. We can’t recommend Chama and Vickum highly enough. If you’re planning a trip to Sri Lanka, you’ll be lucky to have them.

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sri Lanka Driver's and Guide with Luxury Cars: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Negombo.
How much does Sri Lanka Driver's and Guide with Luxury Cars cost?
+
Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Negombo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sri Lanka Driver's and Guide with Luxury Cars take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Negombo is not rushed.
Is Sri Lanka Driver's and Guide with Luxury Cars worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Negombo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sri Lanka Driver's and Guide with Luxury Cars?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sri Lanka Driver's and Guide with Luxury Cars suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sri Lanka Driver's and Guide with Luxury Cars?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Negombo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Negombo and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sri Lanka Driver's and Guide with Luxury Cars start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Negombo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Negombo?
+
On Outty we rank every Negombo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Car & Driver for 07 Days Tour In Sri Lanka, Most Popular Round Tour in Sri Lanka (10 Days), Highly recommended multi day tour in Sri Lanka. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Negombo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Negombo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
