TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS FRAUD FIRM

These guys are fraud. They don’t mention clearly that this is a self guided tour and that too with a game built in it. If you don’t answer correctly you can’t go to the next step. Maybe good for school kids but definitely not recommended for families looking for a guided tour. They should mention this in their description clearly that this is a game not a tour with a guide. The user experience of their app is also terrible and there is no one to answer at customer service. Even to send them a request for queries you need to download their app and somehow try to find how to activate your game. I am quite tech savvy and it took me almost 30 min to figure out how to download their app and activate my trip. It gets even more difficult when you are standing in 30 degrees full sun with kids around you. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Response from the operator: We're sorry for your confusion, but anyone who reads the product description can see that we mention clearly multiple times that the activity is self-guided.

Worse experience ever. These guys are fraud

Absolutely horrible experience. Not worth a cent. Never purchase this trip. These guys are fraud. They pretend to be a guided tour but it’s through an app which is horrible to use.

Response from the operator: If you check the product description again, you will see at least 3 sections where we mention this is a self-guided experience, and 0 where we say this is a guided tour. Your review is a fraud.

Through the city at your own pace

This was a fun way to explore the city at your own pace. At the various stopping points we were then asked a question to solve. Better than walking around alone, because then you miss some places.

Response from the operator: Bedankt voor je fijne review! We zijn blij dat je genoten hebt van het ontdekken van de stad op je eigen tempo. Leuk om te horen dat de vragen jullie geholpen hebben om plekken te zien die je anders misschien zou missen. Hopelijk tot bij een volgende quest!

    So much fun!

It was really fun. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed walking through the city and learning about the city and emperror Diocletian. I am usually not much about history, more about the views, and my boyfriend is...and this was really a great way to combine our intrests and both have fun and enjoy the city.

Response from the operator: We're delighted you had a blast exploring the city and learning about Emperor Diocletian! If you're up for more adventures, we're here to make it happen. Happy exploring! 🏛️🗺️😊

A great way to explore Split on your own

This was a great experience and an awesome way to get to know the city on your own. The starting point is near the park with an amazing view of the surrounding islands and the sea, and the clear instructions take you towards the historical core. The tasks are quite interesting and we really enjoyed and had fun while solving them. It was great to try this. Thank you :)

Response from the operator: We're thrilled you had such a fantastic experience exploring the city and enjoying the tasks along the way! If you ever want to embark on another adventure, you know where to find us. Happy exploring, and thank you for giving it a try! 😊🏝️🗺️

Split Quest Experience: Discover the City: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Split.

How much does Split Quest Experience: Discover the City cost?

    +

Prices start at $5 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Split usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Split Quest Experience: Discover the City take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Split is not rushed.

Is Split Quest Experience: Discover the City worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Split, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Split Quest Experience: Discover the City?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Split Quest Experience: Discover the City suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Split Quest Experience: Discover the City?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Split can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Split and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Split Quest Experience: Discover the City start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Split within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Split?

    +

On Outty we rank every Split experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Split Small-Group Walking Tour with a Magister of History, Split Walking Tour with Professor of History, From Split: Krka Waterfalls, Food & Wine Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Split?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Split?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
