Nina, most fun energetic Game of Thrones and history tour guide in Split

Really great fun walking tour! I learnt so much about Game of Thrones locations and history of Split 's Diocletian in the span of 2 hours which was absolutely amazing and eye opening. I want to really thank and praise Nina for bringing such incredible energy, passion and fun as a tour guide. Really enjoyed her energy and feel like she should set the standard as really engaging tour guide as she showed us which exact scenes where filmed on her iPad, asked engaging questions and shared great insights into the history solid 10/10 Thank you Nina!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed discovering both the Game of Thrones filming locations and the fascinating history of Diocletian's Palace. We're especially happy that her interactive approach, from sharing scenes to keeping everyone engaged throughout the walk, made such a lasting impression. Thank you for choosing our tour, and we hope to welcome you back to Split for another adventure! - Silvio, owner of Time Travel Split

    The communication from...

The communication from Marko was great! We all received a txt message on WhatsApp prior to the tour starting. The group was a small group which was great- Marko went over not only the game of thrones locations but also the history of split which was an added bonus. We watched scenes of game of thrones on a big tablet while other tours had printed papers of scenes from the show- this was another point of difference for this tour. Marko was brilliant and we could all hear him clearly even though there was a celebration of the school finishing and the students had very loud processions. We were all given discount vouchers for other shops in the city to utilize and were also given recommendations of the local food and good eating places by Marko which was much appreciated. Overall we had a fantastic time with Marko and the tour was carried out at a great pace so it did not feel rushed. If you are in split and want to go on a game of thrones tour, I would 100% recommend it.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re really happy to hear you enjoyed the tour with Marko and that the communication and organization worked well from the very beginning. It’s great to know you liked the small group experience and the way the Game of Thrones filming locations were combined with the real history of Split. We’re especially glad the tablet scenes helped make the experience more engaging and easy to follow while walking through the city. We also appreciate your comments about the pace, recommendations, and local tips Marko shared along the way. Thank you again for the recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Split!

How far in advance should I book Split Game of Thrones Small Group Dragons Walking Tour?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Split can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Split and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Split?

    +

On Outty we rank every Split experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Split Small-Group Walking Tour with a Magister of History, Split Walking Tour with Professor of History, From Split: Krka Waterfalls, Food & Wine Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Split?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Split?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
