I had a great experience on this tour and seeing all of the sights. Giorgos was my guide and he was fantastic the entire time. He was very informative and accommodating, and was able to answer all of my questions. Would recommend spending...
Would recommend spending your time elsewhere. The tour guide was very nice and seemed to know the history but overall a waste of time. Since the weather was getting poor, rain, I asked the guide for an updated schedule as soon as we got in the car- said there was no schedule. Second stop at the ruins was quick because of the rain and the rocks on the walk way were too slippery (he told us to stay there for two hours.. took us 30 mins). We still did the canal on the way. We started heading out of town after the ruins and as we left the guide said how the other planned site on the web page were a waste of time we will go else where. I stated I wanted to see them, that is why I signed up. He did a u-turn to go to the olive museum but we missed the next few. He drove us to the first town that was listed on this site and everything was closed; he was confused on where to go with the town closed and told us to walk around - we were confused where since it was raining and with the rough seas the path along the water was blocked. The guide started asked locals where we should go. The next town over had a place open to eat so we stopped in there. From there we basically went back home. All this driving took all day from 8am pick up and roughly 7pm drop off. Really just a waste of time and wish I had planned something else. The guide was nice but so difficult to understand as he faced forward driving and we were in the back seat. He also was a smoker and when walking would blow smoke which often ended up in our faces.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to write this review. The guide that you had that day is very experienced and has top reviews. I can understand your frustration since even though in Greece we have around 330 sunny days, the day of the tour was raining all day long. You said that you asked for an updated schedule. Our guide as he always wants to offer the greatest experience to his guests, he replied that there is no schedule, meaning that we can customize and not worry about time limits. Proving that by suggesting you to change the schedule and you said that you wanted to do the schedule exactly as described. So, from one hand you say that you wanted an updated schedule and on the other hand you did not want to change the schedule. So, as you declined the guide’s suggestion, you did the pre described schedule. You went to all the places of interest and visited even one more, which is not described, “Oitilo”. Another beautiful small town in Peloponnese that your guide wanted to show it to you. Our guide was never confused since he is very experienced and knows all these places since his family is from close by region. He just wanted to serve you best, especially when he asked you about lunch and you did not like most of his suggestions. You did not want to have lunch at the restaurants that he suggested, so he was on the search for more places that you would like. Finally, he found a place for souvlaki which you liked. We totally understand that weather plays a major role to every tour and that you were frustrated from that fact. We believe that you misjudged the tour by giving one star. Clearly, you were biased from bad weather. A piece of advice from us, since you give that much importance to weather, is to look the weather forecast some days before the tour date and if you think is going to be bad, to cancel.

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sparta, Mystras & Limeni Traditional Village Private Day Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does Sparta, Mystras & Limeni Traditional Village Private Day Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sparta, Mystras & Limeni Traditional Village Private Day Tour take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is Sparta, Mystras & Limeni Traditional Village Private Day Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sparta, Mystras & Limeni Traditional Village Private Day Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sparta, Mystras & Limeni Traditional Village Private Day Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sparta, Mystras & Limeni Traditional Village Private Day Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sparta, Mystras & Limeni Traditional Village Private Day Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
