    Perfectly Tailored Private Tours

We took two private tours with Ali. First we traveled from Reykjavik along the South Coast to Vik, stopping at waterfalls and the Black Sand beach. A couple of days later, Ali took us from Vik to Jökulsárlón Glacier to see Diamond Beach and join up with a tour of the Blue Ice Cave. We chose Iceland Paradise Tours because they were totally flexible with when and where we wanted to travel. Every other tour we looked at was either round-trip Reykjavik (a TOO LONG day of driving!) or met on-site at the glacier. We conversed with Sultan during the booking process and crafted exactly the experience we wanted. Ali was an awesome driver and guide! He was completely prompt and professional, of course, but he went far beyond those basics. He sought out new and hidden things for us to see (like a real Viking house built into a hillside). He gave us great insight into Iceland both past and present, answering every question we had. He's also a great photographer, so if he offers to take your picture, say YES! We are already thinking about a return visit to Iceland -- Ali tells us that it's a completely different experience in the summer -- so we can see more parts of this beautiful land.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that you had such a memorable experience exploring Iceland with us. We truly appreciate your kind words and are pleased that the flexibility and personalized approach of our private tours helped create the experience you were looking for. Thank you for choosing Iceland Paradise Tours, and we look forward to welcoming you back to discover even more of Iceland's beauty in the future!

A trip not to be missed in Iceland.

Sultan took us to see Skógafoss and urridafoss and took us to see the Puffin birds. Two waterfalls not to be missed when visiting Iceland.

    Avoid at all costs

I don’t know if this is allowed but beware booking with Iceland Paradise tours aka Sultan the guide for your tours as this company doesn’t deliver what is promised or paid for. If you like being scared out of your wits this guy drives like a lunatic constantly on his mobile phone whilst driving, speeding, tailgating and dangerous overtaking in icy conditions this is the guy for you. We tried addressing the issue politely but was ignored and the guide sulked for the next day not talking to us or getting out of the car as he had not ever had anyone complain before. We paid for private guided tours and private airport transfers and he decided that it was ok to have a relative who was on holiday join us without asking our permission and offered no refunds. The narrative he supplied between phonecalls was useless as there was no voice amplification so none of the group of five could hear what he was saying above the noise of the engine. All the tours he supplied weren’t the duration advertised racing from point to point with no meaningful stops as rushed from place to place. He refused to supply an invoice even though asked for time and time again so we have no financial recourse of recouping any monies owed so seems like he knew exactly what he was doing to stop any legal action against him and his response was we were trying to scam him. We have reported him to the Icelandic authorities and are awaiting a response so just be warned don’t want anyone to be ripped off by this guy, it’s too late for us but if you book through him you will regret it, he completely ruined a 50th Wedding Anniversary present and 50th Birthday celebration

South Coast Private Guided Tour + Blue Lagoon(optional): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.

How much does South Coast Private Guided Tour + Blue Lagoon(optional) cost?

    +

Prices start at $1410 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does South Coast Private Guided Tour + Blue Lagoon(optional) take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.

Is South Coast Private Guided Tour + Blue Lagoon(optional) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule South Coast Private Guided Tour + Blue Lagoon(optional)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is South Coast Private Guided Tour + Blue Lagoon(optional) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book South Coast Private Guided Tour + Blue Lagoon(optional)?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does South Coast Private Guided Tour + Blue Lagoon(optional) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?

    +

On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Reykjavik?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
