Average
Crew member was running late, therefore we had to stand in the blistering sun until they arrived for us to board, no shade provided, once on board we were served morning tea of just scones and jam served on a serviette ( no plates) provided coffee /tea in a paper cup with no lid( one elderly lady nearly spilled it all over herself and was so scared of being burnt) no water or juice provided for the children, these were at an additional cost, as well soft drinks for those who do not drink coffee and tea. The facilities were very clean and comfortable, with the tour information being very informative, however with our combo booking we were provided a voucher at The Plough Inn for lunch, we were not informed this was a booked time..so we were late…with no table booked and took a little to find as we are not from Brisbane, a map with the vouchers would of been handy.
Response from the operator: Hi, thank you for taking the time to review us, I am glad you enjoyed the commentary. I apologise for the inconvenience when boarding, but I am happy to see that you were boarded by 10.32am. We always have water on hand, and drinks for the children, but as you didn't have any children in your group it wasn't a problem for you. On your Combo booking info sheet, it advises that your lunch reservation was made for 12.30pm. We have since added a map for guests to find the Plough Inn, so this shouldn't be problem moving forward. I hope you enjoy your time in Brisbane, safe travels

Never use TripAdvisor
The cruise was very good but never never book through TripAdvisor. I didn’t realise that I would be charged USD for a trip on an Australian boat on an Australian river. Also I didn’t complete the booking, left to do something else and got on the site again to later realise I’d been charged twice. I then cancelled one and was told I wouldn’t receive a refund. I wish I hadn’t cancelled, at least the operator would be better off. Take great care when booking on these sites, check carefully before you pay
Response from the operator: Hi Barbara, thank you for cruising with us, we appreciate your business. I am so happy you enjoyed your cruise. What a shame you had booking issues with Trip Advisor. all the best

Pleasurable Day on the river.
We had a very enjoyable river cruise, which included interesting commentary along the way. Lunch at the Plough Inn was delicious and the atmosphere relaxing. The ride on the Brisbane Wheel was also very pleasurable. The only suggestion for improvement would be to make it clearer which passengers should disembark at the first stop & those that should stay aboard. The instructions were given quickly and this caused confusion for some passengers. Also, when we disembarked, we were not informed where to find the Plough Inn, we needed to ask for directions etc. This would have been a confronting situation for some visitors to Brisbane. All in all a very good day and we will be recommending it to our friends and family.
Response from the operator: Hi Janet, we are so pleased you enjoyed the South Bank Combo cruise, lunch & gondola ride. This is a great day out with 3 of Brisbane's icons all at Southbank. We appreciate your comments, so can improve on them. Thank you for your recommendation to others. all the best

Nice way to see part of river and south bank
Boat likes to leave exactly on time so you must not be late at all. Staff friendly and helpful. Scones were tasty. Commentary was interesting. The pub lunch was big and very filling. The pub was modern and friendly not like the ones in outback Queensland. The wheel is better at twilight as hot during day.
Response from the operator: Hi Scott, we are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your day out on the South Bank Combo. Thanks so much for your wonderful review. take care

Interesting
The history information both sides of the river was interesting. Plenty of complimentary tea, coffee and scones with cream and jam. Lunch at Plough Inn, nice selection, plenty on the plate and cold drinks refreshing.

South Bank Combo Cruise & Lunch; 10:30am-2pm (approx): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Brisbane.
How much does South Bank Combo Cruise & Lunch; 10:30am-2pm (approx) cost?
+
Prices start at $76 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Brisbane usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does South Bank Combo Cruise & Lunch; 10:30am-2pm (approx) take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Brisbane is not rushed.
Is South Bank Combo Cruise & Lunch; 10:30am-2pm (approx) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 50 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Brisbane, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule South Bank Combo Cruise & Lunch; 10:30am-2pm (approx)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is South Bank Combo Cruise & Lunch; 10:30am-2pm (approx) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book South Bank Combo Cruise & Lunch; 10:30am-2pm (approx)?
+
Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Brisbane can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Brisbane and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does South Bank Combo Cruise & Lunch; 10:30am-2pm (approx) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Brisbane within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Brisbane?
+
On Outty we rank every Brisbane experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include North Stradbroke Island WILDLIFE Adventure Tour from Brisbane, Australia Zoo Day Trip from Brisbane, Ultimate Brisbane Walking Tour (Small-Group, Drink Included). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Brisbane?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Brisbane?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
