Sorrento Food Tour
Tamara was knowledgeable and an entertaining guide who showed us the best of Sorrento's culinary experiences regarding local authentic food and drink. Warm , welcoming and friendly experience. If you want to experience Sorrento's local food this tour is a must .

Nice tour of Sorrento
We had a nice time on this tour. One important tip for future guests: use the meeting-point address provided in the booking and enter it into your own map. We clicked on the interactive map in the Viator app, and it sent us to the wrong location even though the written address was correct. We ended up running around trying to find the meeting point and arrived about 10 minutes late. Fortunately, there was only one other couple on the tour, and they were incredibly kind and understanding. Once we got started, the tour was pleasant and our guide was very nice. We did feel that the commentary was a little lighter than on some of the other food tours we experienced during this trip, and we would have enjoyed a bit more history, background, and storytelling along the way. That said, the tour absolutely served a purpose for us. We like doing food tours early in a visit because they help us get a feel for the area, learn a little about the history, and discover places we may want to return to later. This tour did exactly that. We ended up going back on our own to revisit some of the places to eat and to purchase gifts. I would recommend it to someone looking for a relaxed way to get acquainted with the town, especially early in their stay.

Cancelled with no explanation
Cancelled on me at last minute with no real explanation. And said I could take the tour the next day but we weren't going to be there the next day.
Response from the operator: Lisa, After several unpleasant messages, the last of which ended with “whatever,” this review was unfortunately not unexpected and not cancelled with no explanation. However, we do need to correct the facts. Your September 14 reservation was cancelled by you through Viator on June 9 — more than three months before the tour date. It was not cancelled by us “at the last minute.” Booking, cancelling and then attempting to rebook through a third-party platform such as Viator can become complicated, particularly when availability has changed. We do not control Viator’s booking system or the availability it displays after a guest has cancelled a reservation. We also did not tell you that you could take the tour the following day. The next day was Tuesday, September 15, and we do not operate this tour on Tuesdays and have not done so for years. We understand that travel plans can be frustrating when they don’t work out as hoped. However, the documented Viator booking history, our operating schedule and the message history are quite clear. Reviews should accurately reflect what occurred — particularly when stating who cancelled a reservation and what was actually communicated.

Great Sorrento Orientation
Great way to learn a little history and background on Sorrento upon arrival. The tour allowed us to get a sense of the main areas of the town. Our tour guide Tamara was informative and gave us just the right amount of space and free time to enjoy the company of our fellow tour couples. We highly recommend this tour at the beginning of your Sorrento stay. One suggestion would be to help identify the tour meeting place as directions were a little vague for newbies to the town. ie…meet at the yellow church in the piazza.

Piazza Tasso is the very heart of Sorrento and can certainly feel busy and a little overwhelming when you’ve just arrived, so having that landmark in mind makes finding us much easier.
