Great fun and a fantastic guide
Karin was a fantastic guide who took us on a great hike. She took plenty of pictures and welcomed us into her home. We loved the snowshoeing

If you do one thing in Tromso- do this!
Our snowshoeing with Wandering Owl was cancelled at the last minute due to weather so we pivoted and booked with Karin and her Skadi Adventures for the next day. It turned out to be the best thing we did in Tromso. She can go out in bad weather as her route is not so exposed. The group is small and Karin treats you like family where the tour starts and ends at her own home. It’s physically vigorous but she takes care of everyone. It’s also a lot of fun. You can tell Karin loves what she does. She laughed pretty much all the way down as we all ran through powder snow. Once down off the mountain we enjoyed a BBQ in her super cozy backyard hut. I highly recommend this tour over any of the others.

The Greatest Snoeshoeing Experience
Stayed in Tromso for a couple of days and decided to take on this activity with a friend of mine. It was the best decision we have made as it was the most fun and enjoyable experience ever! It was my first time snowshoeing and it was pretty easy to get the hang of it but as you get higher towards the hills it does get a bit tiring. So that is something to consider if you do get tired easily. Nonetheless, i had the best time enjoying the views and learning from Karin talk about the interesting things of Tromso. Going uphill was a journey but the views in the end were very rewarding. Along with that going down was so much fun as we learned how to run down the hills in the snow. If you’re in Tromso I’d say take on this adventure as it will be something that you’ll never forget!☃️ Thank you so much Karin for this awesome day! 🫶🏽
Response from the operator: Yes I had a super time with you. 🥰

Amazing experience snowshoeing
Had the most amazing experience today with Karin! My friend and i were looking for an adventure on our trip to tromso and the “snowshoeing with a view exceeded expectations! Pristine snowy conditions made an amazing hike up with stops for hot chocolate and chocolate at an old farmers cabin. Karin was such a joy to do the tour with, kind, patient and enjoying the experience just as much as we were. The view from the top was amazing looking out over tromso the ocean and the surrounding islands. Going down was even more fun! Karin taught us how to run in our snowshoes through the drifts we couldn’t stop laughing. Then finishing with a homemade lunch at her beautiful home made for the most amazing trip. I would highly recommend you book with this wonderful family company
Response from the operator: Thank you sooo much for fantastic words. Hope to see you both again :-)

Snowshoeing With A View: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tromso.
How much does Snowshoeing With A View cost?
+
Prices start at $170 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tromso usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Snowshoeing With A View take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tromso is not rushed.
Is Snowshoeing With A View worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tromso, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Snowshoeing With A View?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Snowshoeing With A View suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Snowshoeing With A View?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tromso can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tromso and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Snowshoeing With A View start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tromso within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tromso?
+
On Outty we rank every Tromso experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Chasing Lights: Aurora Big Bus Chase (All Photos Included), Tromsø: Small Group | Northern Lights Chase + All-Inclusive, Tromso Northern Lights Minibus Chase Small Group Tour with Photos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tromso?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tromso?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Snowshoeing With A View?
+
Included: Dinner. Not included: Guests must bring their own warm clothing undernith, hat, mittens and warm shoes. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Where is the meeting point for Snowshoeing With A View?
+

What languages is Snowshoeing With A View offered in?
+
It is offered in Norwegian and English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Snowshoeing With A View?
+
