Please understand that we do not offer refunds if no monkeys are present during your visit. Our team will still provide a comfortable vehicle, a knowledgeable guide, and a well-structured itinerary to make your visit meaningful. Even without the monkeys, the walk to the park offers beautiful forest scenery and a memorable nature experience — each season has its own charm.

It REALLY is the perfect way to visit Nagano!
Our guide Aoi and our driver were amazing and made our excursion so enjoyable! It‘s really perfectly planned from pick up to the drop off. First we visited the snow monkey park. It‘s a bit of a hike, but so worth it! The forest is beautiful with brooks of water and hanging mist in the air. Of course the snow monkeys are a sight to behold and very entertaining to watch. We now have fabulous photographs and memories. The other stops of our excursion were the icing on the cake. I‘m not going to spoil the surprise of discovering it all on your own! Don’t miss the temple! It‘s a pity we only came for the day from Tokyo, because the o8experience Tour company offers other amazing excursions. Thank-you so much!

Adapting a tour for diverse ages and fitness-,Masa rocked!
This was a small tour and Masa was superb! Great directions on meeting point and check in. Gave some history and pointed out sites aling the way. Since this was a moderate hike to see the monkey's he was clear on what to expect and kept the group moving but not rushed so everyone could keep their own pace. Pretty muddy in spots but the hike was well worth it. Lots of time for pics and enjoying this amazing bit of nature. After the hike, stopped for lunch (loved the pork over the chicken). Might let them know of any allergies since this a preset meal. Then off to sako tasting...loved the Shu! 30 minutes to tour and then back to Nagano. Masa took great care of us and highly recommend him as a guide. Just awesome, encouraging us to take the time need to enjoy the mountain on our way!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your thoughtful review. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the day and felt well supported throughout the tour. The walk to see the monkeys can be a bit muddy and active at times, so it means a lot to know that Masa helped everyone feel comfortable while still giving you time to enjoy the scenery and experience at your own pace. We are also very glad you enjoyed the lunch and the sake tasting — and especially that you found a favorite sake. Thank you as well for mentioning the preset meal, as that is very helpful for future guests. We truly appreciate your kind recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back to Nagano again someday. Warm regards, o8Experience

How much does Snow Monkeys, Obuse & Sake: A Perfect Day in Nagano cost?

How long does Snow Monkeys, Obuse & Sake: A Perfect Day in Nagano take?

Is Snow Monkeys, Obuse & Sake: A Perfect Day in Nagano worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nagano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Snow Monkeys, Obuse & Sake: A Perfect Day in Nagano?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Snow Monkeys, Obuse & Sake: A Perfect Day in Nagano suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book Snow Monkeys, Obuse & Sake: A Perfect Day in Nagano?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nagano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nagano and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Nagano?
+
On Outty we rank every Nagano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 1-Day Tour from Nagano and Matsumoto Kamikochi & Matsumoto Castle, 1-Day Snow Monkeys, Zenko-ji Temple & Sake in Nagano, Izakaya Food Tour in Nagano. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nagano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nagano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
