Disappointing snorkeling trip – unfortunately not recommended Disappointing Snorkeling Trip – Not Recommended

We were very much looking forward to the trip to Dolphin House – but unfortunately were very disappointed. There was a lot of excitement beforehand, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. There were 9 or 11 boats on site – each trying to get as close as possible to the dolphins. A calm, respectful encounter with the animals was not possible as a result. There were 9 or 11 boats at the site, all trying to get as close to the dolphins as possible. A calm and respectful interaction with the animals was impossible. Particularly disappointing: For “safety reasons”, we were not allowed to snorkel with the dolphins – although this was the priority when booking. Most disappointing: we weren’t even allowed to snorkel with the dolphins, allegedly for “safety reasons” – even though that was the main point of booking this tour. The first snorkeling trip was chaotic: The guide was visibly annoyed by non-swimmers who couldn't follow. Others snorkeled too far ahead. The first snorkeling stop was chaotic: the guide was visibly annoyed with non-swimmers who struggled to keep up, while others went too far ahead. The photographer on board was reckless – he kicked me hard in the stomach while taking pictures. We had asked him not to take pictures of us before. An apology? Misrepresentation. The photographer was extremely inconsiderate – he kicked me hard in the stomach while passing by to take photos. We had asked him not to take any pictures of us, but there was no apology at all. The second snorkeling session took place in exactly the same place – boring and unimaginative. The second snorkeling stop was at the exact same location – boring and uninspired. Overall, unfortunately, the trip was a disaster. A star – especially because the dolphin encounter never happened. Overall, the trip was a disaster. One star – mostly because the dolphin experience we came for never happened.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, especially regarding the dolphin encounter and the overall organization of the trip. Please allow us to clarify that dolphin sightings and swimming permissions are not guaranteed, as they depend on wildlife behavior and local safety regulations. Our aim is always to protect both our guests and marine life by respecting safe distances and ethical practices. However, we understand how disappointing it must have been not to enjoy the interaction you were hoping for. We’re equally concerned about your comments regarding the guide’s behavior and the photographer’s conduct. This is not the level of professionalism we aim for, and we take such reports very seriously. We are addressing this internally with our team and partners to ensure it does not happen again. We appreciate your honest review and apologize that your trip didn’t reflect the quality we strive to deliver. If you’d like to discuss your experience further, please reach out directly — we’d value the opportunity to make things right. Warm regards

    AMAZING

An unforgettable experience, I chose to privatize the yacht for my boyfriend’s birthday and everything was fantastic!! We were able to dive with Kareem which is very supervising and allowed us to see incredible seabed. We also took the time to swim, saw a turtle show, in short incredible The whole team was amazing, even little Mustaph was invested! I advise 100%.

Response from the operator: Thank you dear guest for taking the time to provide us with such a great feedback. We are pleased to read that you enjoyed diving with us and will definitely pass on your good words to the whole team, as this is always a great source of motivation for them. We are looking forward to see you soon

Snorkeling trip in Red Sea: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.

How much does Snorkeling trip in Red Sea cost?

    +

Prices start at €15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hurghada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Snorkeling trip in Red Sea take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hurghada is not rushed.

Is Snorkeling trip in Red Sea worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Snorkeling trip in Red Sea?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Snorkeling trip in Red Sea suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Snorkeling trip in Red Sea?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Snorkeling trip in Red Sea start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hurghada?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada Diving Adventure one Day with two Dives Boat Trip, Hurghada to Cairo: Pyramids & Museum for First-Time Visitors, Hurghada Scuba Diving Full Day Boat Trip With Lunch & Transfer. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hurghada?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hurghada?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
