Can I give 6-stars?

I rarely post reviews, but I felt it was really important to spread the love. From start to finish I was extremely impressed with SuBaia. They responded to my online queries very quickly. It all felt well organised. The tour itself was a very memorable afternoon. I went with my young family and the team were very accommodating and conscientious. The whole experience was positive and fun. Thank you SuBaia!

Great experience!

Amazing experience! My husband and I took our 13 and 15 year old and had such a great time exploring the underwater park. We did a double dive and I got a little seasick after the first dive and the crew was so kind and helped me out. There was a 30 minute educational experience about the ruins before we went out and it made the snorkeling even more interesting! Highly recommend!

Wouldn't do the snorkelling tour again

We did a double tour in June 2026, one of us did the scuba diving tour, and the other did the snorkelling tour, we were in the same group and the same boat. The scuba diving tour was great, I have nothing else to say about it other than praise it, so most of this review is about the snorkelling side of the experience. Before the actual dive, we were supposed to see a presentation about the history, geology and vulcanology of the sites. Unfortunately, there were technical issues with the computer. I understand that this was nobody's fault, but we asked for the slides after - we were genuinely interested in the topic - but we never got it. So the promised explanation about the area was pretty much not delivered. Then the snorkelling part itself, the guide, Enrico, was mainly just blobbing nearby. He is a marine archeologist but he wasn't telling much and wasn't keen on sharing information/answering questions. You obviously can't talk if you are scuba diving, but snorkelling does provide plenty of opportunity to do so. We came with our own snorkels and masks, so renting the gear wasn't that important to us. What we really wanted was the historical background. Overall we didn't understand what we paid money for when we booked the snorkelling tour. It was disappointing because we were really looking forward to this activity.

The Baia Underwater Park is both a Marine Protected Area and an Underwater Archaeological Park, managed under strict regulations that are comparable to those of an open-air museum. Access is not permitted to private individuals diving independently; all scuba diving and snorkeling activities must be conducted through authorized diving centers and in accordance with the Park's regulations. Regarding the archaeological presentation, we acknowledge that on the day of your visit we experienced an unexpected technical failure with our computer, which prevented us from showing our usual multimedia presentation. This was an unforeseen equipment failure, and the problem was serious enough that we had to replace the computer immediately. We agree that this presentation enhances the experience, and we regret that it could not be provided as usual on that occasion. You booked a double scuba diving experience and a double guided snorkeling tour. The price included: • the mandatory entrance fees to the Archaeological Park (10%); • Italian VAT (22%); • a professional scuba diving guide for certified divers; • a dedicated snorkeling guide; • boat transportation and skipper assistance; • full use of our facilities, including changing rooms, showers and on-site support; • complete assistance with the preparation and handling of diving equipment, both on land and at sea (you never had to carry a scuba tank yourself); • full rental of diving equipment, including wetsuits, regulators, BCDs, tanks, weights, and snorkeling equipment. With regard to the professionalism of our snorkeling guide, we respectfully disagree with your assessment. During our years of operation we have never received similar feedback. Furthermore, the presence of a qualified snorkeling guide is mandatory under both the Park regulations and applicable safety standards. Our guide is also a professional archaeologist, providing visitors with an additional level of historical and archaeological interpretation that is not required but that we are proud to offer. Finally, we would like to mention one objective fact. Your visit took place on 23 June. After returning to the diving center, you left at approximately 6:30 p.m. At 6:45 p.m., you sent us the following WhatsApp message: "Is it okay to get the PowerPoint slides? We really loved the dive/snorkeling, and my nerdy husband would love to look at the slides again—we promise we won't start a rival business." We appreciate those kind words and were pleased to know that you had enjoyed both the diving and snorkeling experiences. The only request in your message concerned receiving copies of our PowerPoint presentation. Unfortunately, as you also mentioned, our presentation contains original material that we have developed over many years and cannot be distributed because of copyright and confidentiality considerations. For this reason, we believe your disappointment was related primarily to not receiving the presentation, rather than to the quality of the diving and snorkeling experience itself. We are genuinely sorry that you left with this impression. Great staff and fun snorkeling

We went as two couples for a morning of snorkeling in sunken ruins; it was amazing. Carlo and Alex were knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended.
