A Wasted Day! No Tequila, No Shopping!

Our adventure was to snorkel for an hour and a half, tequila tasting, shopping in the town., as well as transportation and taco lunch. We scheduled it for the noon time frame. We were told they would pick us up 12:30+12:35. They arrived at 12:20. Fortunately we were already waiting. This however was not the case for another larger group, who was going to a different activity. We ended up waiting about 15-20 minutes for these people to show. Once we arrived at the shop, we were brought to a waiting area, which was humid and uncomfortable. Our tour stated that it was a maximum of 14 people. Our initial group had that many waiting around. However, we ended up having to wait there until about 3, maybe 3:15. More people showed up. By then we had about 23 people. We were given our gear and explained we would finally be leaving, Freida then started rushing us as if we were the late ones, being rude and even yelling. We were taken across the street, then had to walk down the beach to where the boat was…no big deal, however the amount of seaweed we had to walk across and wade through was disgusting. If I had know this I would have worn water shoes. Advice if you do choose this adventure don’t bring any towels or backpacks. We had to carry all that through the waist high water to the boat. Once on the boat we went to the reef area to snorkel. I’m a strong swimmer and did fine. Others didn’t do to well. After only about an hour we told we had to head back. So much for an hour and 20 minutes. The showered to rinse off in were barely a drizzle of water. Then lunch, it was waiting for us when we got there and the tacos were pretty good. Originally we were to leave and at 6:30. They changed our time to 5:30 because of traffic, they DID NOT offer a tequila tasting , and we only had 15-20 minutes to explore the town. The transportation had to go grab the other group who once again were late. Waited another 10 minutes for them. So our 3 -4 hour day was from 12:20- 7:10pm and only had an hour to snorkel and 15 min of shopping and a couple of tacos. The majority of the day was spent sitting around waiting. We do not recommend this tour unless you want to sit around all day waiting. On our last dat we missed out on sun, and fun!

Snorkeling Adventure in Puerto Morelos: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.

How much does Snorkeling Adventure in Puerto Morelos cost?

+

Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Snorkeling Adventure in Puerto Morelos take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.

Is Snorkeling Adventure in Puerto Morelos worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Snorkeling Adventure in Puerto Morelos?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Snorkeling Adventure in Puerto Morelos suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Snorkeling Adventure in Puerto Morelos?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Snorkeling Adventure in Puerto Morelos start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cancun?

+

On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cancun?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cancun?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
