Save your money and skip this tour
For the price per person I paid for this tour, I was definitely expecting a better day. To sum it up, there is nothing in the Cozumel reef that you can't see in Cancun. Other than beautiful water, there wasn't much to see, so save your money and time. The "beach club" is not a club, rather a tiny restaurant with sand on the floor. It has no beach access (there is a dock on the water), no showers or changing rooms or ocean breeze. We just got food. The boat we were on was called the Fernanda. If they assign you this boat, run! It could not go faster than 10mph and it took us a full hour to get to the reef. The seats were not padded, the shade was limited due to the tour company combining us with 2 other groups and the masks/snorkel gear was pretty ghetto. They wouldn't let us put on sunscreen even though it was reef safe because they said that was supposed to be put on when we were on land. THEN TELL US THAT WHILE WE ARE ON LAND! The boat ride back from the reef was awful! It was so hot, so slow and so long and it was discouraging seeing every other boat fly by us! A woman on our boat about passed out from the heat and sea sickness. Plus they will charge you 1500 pesos for pictures, which are super deceiving. The photographer was feeding the fish so they would be near her. Then the pics showed the fish between you and the camera, which is hilarious because they were basically the only fish we saw all day. We did see a couple of parrot fish and a ray on the sand bar, but that was it. We wanted to go back to Cancun early, but since the tour company pre-purchases the ferry ticket for a certain time, and arranges our taxi back to the hotel, we would have had to shell out several hundred dollars more (we had a group of 6) in order to make that happen. So we made the best of the afternoon and tried to find a way to cool off in town. FYI, we didn't get back to our hotel until 9pm and the pick up was 7am. It was an incredibly long and discouraging day. In the future I would just arrange everything on my own, since there are so many snorkel companies to choose from. It would have been a better use of our time and money.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience There is plenty at the Cozumel reefs that you can't see at Cancun, the coral reefs at Cozumel are more alive and filled with species that Cancun does not have The starfish that cover the shallow waters, the different species of fish, the sea rays and even turtles are seen here. It's nothing as you claimed, we can't allowed you to be face to face with species as you demanded during the tour The Beach Club does have a beach access, you said it yourself that it has a pier and a pier needs beach access. It's impossible not to feel the ocean breeze and it's a streetch that you could not even feel wind All boats have to be at that speed due to federal protections laws towards the marine life, a speef boat would only disturbe and damage the coral reef marina life. The boat ride is part of the tour and it's advertised as that The tour is SHARED, meaning that it's not private and that other people will be taking part in it. We don't understand what you mean by "ghetto" but all the snorkel equipment is on top condition and the tubes are new The sunscreen that you brought was not biodegradable, the guides asked you time and again to not use it since it's not allowed by federal laws but you kept demanding and arguing with the guides instead of following the instructions for the activity There was no one passing out at the boat, that never happened during your tour and we confirmed it. Claiming things does not make them real The photo staff does charge for the photo package, they try to set up the best underwater shots with the reef and on the boat, it's optional and only for people that did not brought their own waterproof cameras The length of the tour is advertised as a full day activity, reading is important for all customers If you want to do things on your own, that's great! We hope that you find a company that takes the turtles, fishes and marina life infront of you to show them and that will also give you a private tour for the price of a shared one We wish you good luck! We hope that you find what you look for

All Around Great Day!
This was a great trip. Seniors who wanted to snorkel Cozumel but didn’t want to hassle getting there on own from Cancun. This tour so well organized and great value for all that was included. Small van pickup in Cancun and our van of 10 met up with another van load in Playa del Carmen for remainder of day’s activities, then returned Cancun with original group. There were two different guides- one that coordinated all land activities and another for water. Both were not only attentive but went above and beyond to ensure a friendly fun experience. Happened that we were English speaking minority of 3 in total group of about 20 but efforts were continually made to make sure we were included in every way- put with English speaking drivers, captain & guides & even waiter in restaurant where included delicious late lunch was served. Cozumel water guide was awesome! Small boat with about 10 of us. We did own thing, not having to stay with the other boat so that made the snorkeling more enjoyable. Guide was great in the water, keeping group safe and ensuring we saw lots of fish. Unique stop at Starfish bed was amazing and appreciated unexpected bonus last stop of day where we anchored in a beautiful lagoon of sorts to just jump into the beautiful blue sea and share variety of drinks and fruit provided after snorkel portion of day. Been on many snorkel excursions worldwide and this rates high for overall satisfying experience. Small van pickup from Cancun 7 am and returned after 9 pm. Hotel dining was closed when got back, so plan any meds and snacks you may need accordingly. Can’t wait to go again!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience from start to finish! we are looking forward to welcome you once again in our beloved Quintana Roo!

Snorkel Adventure at Cozumel Cielo! From Cancun & Riviera Maya: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Snorkel Adventure at Cozumel Cielo! From Cancun & Riviera Maya cost?
+
Prices start at $212 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Snorkel Adventure at Cozumel Cielo! From Cancun & Riviera Maya take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Snorkel Adventure at Cozumel Cielo! From Cancun & Riviera Maya worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Snorkel Adventure at Cozumel Cielo! From Cancun & Riviera Maya?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Snorkel Adventure at Cozumel Cielo! From Cancun & Riviera Maya suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Snorkel Adventure at Cozumel Cielo! From Cancun & Riviera Maya?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Snorkel Adventure at Cozumel Cielo! From Cancun & Riviera Maya start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
