Snaefellsness day trip
This Snaefellsnes day tour was one of the absolute highlights of our entire trip—and genuinely one of the best tours we’ve ever taken anywhere. Miro was exceptional, especially with our young kids. He was patient, engaging, and kept everyone interested throughout the day. He’s also a wonderful conversationalist, and the way he describes the landscape, history, and culture really brings the incredible scenery to life. Having a professional photographer as your guide makes the experience even more special. The quality of the photos Miro took was incredible, and it was such a wonderful experience to be able to enjoy the day as a family without constantly thinking about taking our own pictures. We also loved hearing his fascinating personal stories and experiences, which made the tour feel much more personal and memorable than a typical sightseeing excursion. Miro has young kids himself and was able to optimally tailor the experience for our family. We cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Miro combines warmth, knowledge, storytelling, photography, and a genuine ability to connect with people in a way that makes the whole day unforgettable. Miro deserves the highest possible rating without hesitation.

The Best Excursion of Our Entire Trip
This was honestly one of the best excursions we have ever taken. We booked it for our full day in port during our cruise, and everything was handled perfectly. Miro was there waiting for us when we got off the ship, and he brought us back exactly when we asked. We never felt rushed, but we also never had to worry about getting back to the ship on time. The communication before the tour was amazing. We received messages through Tripadvisor and by text explaining exactly where to meet, what the vehicle looked like, and everything else we needed to know. It made the pickup incredibly easy, especially since we were arriving by cruise ship. Miro was truly incredible. He was friendly, down to earth, knowledgeable, and so easy to talk to. Nothing felt scripted or like we were listening to the same speech he gives every group. It felt more like exploring Iceland with someone who genuinely loves the country and enjoys sharing it with people. He told us so much about Iceland and the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, but he also answered all of the random questions we came up with throughout the day. The whole experience felt relaxed and personal. We never felt like we were being hurried from one stop to the next. We had time to enjoy the scenery, ask questions, take pictures, and really appreciate where we were. Miro took us to the must see locations, but he also brought us to beautiful, quieter areas where there were hardly any other tourists. That was one of my favorite parts of the tour. We were able to experience the famous sights while also seeing places we never would have found on our own. Those more secluded locations also made the photos feel so much more special. The tour was absolutely worth the cost, especially with the professional photography included. We did not have to arrange transportation, research every stop, or book a separate photographer. Everything was taken care of, and the day felt completely stress free. Miro was also amazing with our two year old daughter. He was patient, kind, and knew exactly how to make her laugh without making her feel uncomfortable. He captured real moments instead of forcing her into stiff poses. Anyone who has tried to take family pictures with a toddler knows how difficult that can sometimes be, but he made it feel easy. And the pictures were unbelievable. We received them in about 24 hours, which is the fastest turnaround we have ever had from a photographer. They were crisp, natural, beautifully edited, and honestly some of the best pictures from our entire trip. We received individual photos, couple photos, and family photos that we will treasure forever. This tour is perfect for cruise passengers, families with young children, couples, photographers, first time visitors, or anyone who wants to experience the Snæfellsnes Peninsula without being part of a large bus group. It is especially perfect for people who want to see the main sights while also visiting quieter hidden gems. I truly cannot say enough good things about this experience. Miro went above and beyond in every possible way. I only wish we could take this exact tour with him everywhere we travel. This was easily a 10 out of 5 star experience, and I would recommend Miro and Icelandic Roamers without hesitation.

Incredible adventure! 10/10!
This is my second trip to Iceland and having booked 2 tours with Miro in the past, knew that his tours would absolutely be worth it. Miro has such a warm, kind, playful soul that makes it easy to spend 12+ hours with him - it just flies by! He took my friend and I through amazing sights on the Snæfellness Peninsula tour. I love his passion, respect and love for Iceland and nature. He came prepared with everything we needed for a comfortable and fun experience (ex: crampons for the ice, gear, good music and vibes). Our tour was well paced with stunning nature walks and scenic stops we expected and ones we would never have found on our own. We rode his Land Rover, Powder, which made for a fun rugged yet still comfy ride! He’s a talented photographer and we came home with many breathtaking photos to remember our trip. The most carefree and well run tour. 10/10 and would wholeheartedly recommend Icelandic Roamers! Thank you very much for another incredible adventure, Miro! 🙏😁🌊🦭🏔️🌋🙌🏼
Response from the operator: Thank you so much Lynette, this really means a lot to read. It was such a fun day exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula with you again, and I’m really glad you enjoyed the mix of sights, walks, and the little adventures along the way. Powder clearly approved of the tour as well 😄 I truly appreciate your kind words about the experience and the photos. It’s always special for me when guests come back again, so thank you for trusting me with another day in Iceland!

We did three tours with Icelandic Roamers, but the Snæfellsnes Peninsula private tour was our favorite by far! Michal took us to so many amazing places, some that we got to experience all to ourselves! We can't recommend this company enough. And then amazing photos that came with the tours will be displayed in our home forever!

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Snæfellsnes Peninsula | Private tour | PRO Photos included: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.
How much does Snæfellsnes Peninsula | Private tour | PRO Photos included cost?
+
Prices start at $1800 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Snæfellsnes Peninsula | Private tour | PRO Photos included take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.
Is Snæfellsnes Peninsula | Private tour | PRO Photos included worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Snæfellsnes Peninsula | Private tour | PRO Photos included?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Snæfellsnes Peninsula | Private tour | PRO Photos included suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Snæfellsnes Peninsula | Private tour | PRO Photos included?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Snæfellsnes Peninsula | Private tour | PRO Photos included start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?
+
On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Reykjavik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
