Wrap up warm, but well worth doing.

A three hour game drive with a snack break in between. We saw so much game, with a highlight of 3 huge herds if buffalo stampeding past us down to the waterhole as we drank coffee during the break. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and could answer every question asked of her. My only gripe is the need to go to the main entrance of the national park in the northern sector to pay entrance fees, then driving to the southern part for the game drive, meaning a lot of driving in an open safari truck exposed to the elements on a bitterly cold morning. We were given blankets that were completely inadequate instead of lined ponchos that would have protected us better. Make sure you dress up with lots of warm clothes and ear protection it your doing this in winter. It did warm up quickly, however and the tour itself was tremendous.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback! We're delighted to hear that you had a tremendous game drive and that the highlight of watching three massive herds of buffalo stampede to the waterhole during your coffee break made for such a memorable experience. It's also wonderful to know that your guide's knowledge and passion enhanced your safari. We also appreciate your constructive comments regarding the cold morning drive. During winter, the journey to complete park entry formalities can indeed be quite chilly, and we understand how the weather can affect comfort. Your feedback about the blankets is valuable, and we'll certainly review ways to improve the experience for our guests during the colder months. Thank you as well for sharing the helpful tip for future travellers to dress warmly and bring ear protection in winter. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable safari with Cuckoo Safaris in the future.

    Great time had

Peter picked us up on time. He was very organised and gave us blankets knowing the drive would be chilly, not something we had thought about. He is very knowledgeable and gave us some interesting facts about the wildlife and the area. Very enjoyable game drive.

Response from the operator: Hi Thank you so much for your kind words! We're delighted to hear that you had such an enjoyable game drive with Peter. He's truly dedicated to making each experience special, and it’s great to know his thoughtfulness and knowledge made a positive impression. We’re glad you stayed warm and learned something new along the way! We hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon.

Small Group: Zambezi National Park Guided Game Drive: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Victoria Falls.

How much does Small Group: Zambezi National Park Guided Game Drive cost?

    +

Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Victoria Falls usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Small Group: Zambezi National Park Guided Game Drive take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Victoria Falls is not rushed.

Is Small Group: Zambezi National Park Guided Game Drive worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Victoria Falls, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Small Group: Zambezi National Park Guided Game Drive?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Small Group: Zambezi National Park Guided Game Drive suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Small Group: Zambezi National Park Guided Game Drive?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Victoria Falls can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Victoria Falls and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Small Group: Zambezi National Park Guided Game Drive start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Victoria Falls within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Victoria Falls?

    +

On Outty we rank every Victoria Falls experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Tour of the Falls (Zimbabwe side), Zambezi River Class IV-V White-Water Rafting from Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe & Zambia: Guided Tour of the Falls from Both Sides. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Victoria Falls?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Victoria Falls?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
