Small group Wine Tasting Tour from Lagos

Couldn’t hear him I was in the back seat, spoke very fast. They say they can meet you other places for pick up, but weren’t willing to work with us. So we had to come 1/2 hour from east & then while in the van we went east a 1/2 hour. And the people they booked the day before got picked up at their hotel. Other group of ladies also were picked up where they stayed. A rough ride, not worth 75 a person!!! Only offered dry wines. Our driver gave us the tour, not sure if he worked for the winery?

Pick-up arrangements Our tour description clearly states that pick-up is available in Lagos only. Your accommodation was outside our designated pick-up area, and you were informed of this well in advance. You were explicitly offered two options: cancel the booking or make your own way to the agreed meeting point in Lagos. You chose to proceed with the tour, fully aware of these conditions. We therefore consider it unfair to criticise our company for adhering to a clearly stated pick-up policy that was communicated to you before the tour. We cannot offer individual pick-ups outside our designated area simply because other customers may have different arrangements or meeting points. The guide and commentary Our guide is a professional with the knowledge and experience required to conduct the vineyard visit, explain the winemaking process and provide information about the local wine industry. A microphone was used during the tour to ensure that the commentary could be heard by the group. We regret that you experienced difficulty hearing the commentary. However, the appropriate equipment was provided, and we cannot reasonably be held responsible for individual hearing difficulties when the necessary measures have been taken. Our guide's professionalism and knowledge are also reflected in the numerous reviews left by previous guests, which provide a broader and more representative picture of the experience we offer. The wine selection and quality Algarve wines have their own distinctive regional characteristics. Many are relatively dry rather than particularly sweet or fruit-forward. This is a characteristic of the wines, not a reflection of inferior quality. The wines presented during our tour are selected from a region with an established winemaking tradition, and Algarve wines have received recognition and awards at national and international level. Wine preferences are subjective, and we respect that not every style will appeal to every visitor. Nevertheless, it is important to distinguish personal preference from the quality of the product itself. Our service and value Our tour is not simply a transport service or an opportunity to taste a particular style of wine. It is an organised experience that includes a vineyard visit, professional guidance, an explanation of the winemaking process and wine tasting. We believe the experience should be assessed against what was actually advertised and delivered. We respect every customer's right to express an opinion. However, we also believe that reviews should take into account the information provided before booking, the conditions accepted by the customer and the professional service delivered on the day. We stand by our tour description, our pick-up policy and the professionalism of our guide. While we accept that personal expectations and preferences may differ, we do not agree that circumstances already explained and agreed upon before the tour should be presented as failings on our part.

Great experience overall....

Great experience overall. We were a group of 4 travelling with 2 seniors. The tour was organized perfectly from start to finish and our guide Filipe, was so knowledgeable and kind. We truly enjoyed our stop in the beautiful town of Silvas and loved relaxing at the winery after our tour enjoying a tasting and tapas. 10/10

Good value

Our guide Filipe was a fountain of knowledge! Knew the history of Portugal as well as the wine process! The first stop was the castle at Silves which was good but we didn't have long there to explore fully. Silves an ancient town and looked nice. After trying out 'the sweetest orange juice in Portugal' we headed to Quinta do Frances winery. Nice place and after Filiipe talked us through the wine making procees and seeing the barrels in the cellar we were trated to a cheese and meat platter along with trying 3 wines. We had a nice experience.

Amazing wine tour

Felipe was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about Portugal. The wine experience was amazing and we loved meeting the other people on the trip. 10/10
