A perfect tour with a great guide.
We were so fortunate to spend a wonderful day with Spyros as our guide. He is friendly, knowledgable, has a great sense of humor, and showed us a part of Crete that constantly. surprised us. He seemed to know everyone in the villages where we stopped to visit an olive oil factory, a grocery store where he bought us some delicious Greek yogurt, picking strawberries from the field, enjoying Greek coffee in a cafe from a lovely woman who has been therefor decades. The scenery was spectacular and he seemed to enjoy the day as much as we did. I wanted to tip him but had no cash so this review will have to serve as extra thanks for showing us the Crete we would never have seen. Lary and Judy Schiller
Response from the operator: Dear Lary and Judy, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're truly happy to hear that you enjoyed the day exploring Crete — from the olive mill to the villages and the little local moments along the way. It was a real pleasure sharing the island’s hidden gems and traditions with you both. Your kind words mean a lot (and your “extra thanks” made us smile!). We're very glad you’ll remember this day — We certainly will too. Best wishes from Crete!

Great family day full of new experiences!
Our family visited Crete in a cruise and we loved our experience with Spyros. He picked us up promptly from the port and took us all around. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and so warm and friendly. We loved all the stops we made but especially enjoyed going to the olive oil Factory, strawberry farm, pottery store and small cafe in Lasithi where we were treated to coffee and cookies. If you are looking for a more in-depth dive into the culture of Crete I would highly recommend! We had a great time and memorable day full of new and unique experiences.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing this outstanding review with the community. Your kind words for our staff and services are much appreciated. Thank you for recommending our private tour to others. Feel free to come back and visit us anytime. Best regards!

Spyros was amazing!!!
We had a phenomenal time exploring the Lasithi Plateau with our guide/driver Spyros! He was so very kind and hospitable and exceptionally knowledgable on the culture of the people of Lasithi Plateau! From driving through the breathtaking terrain, visiting a local olive oil press, venturing into quaint local villages, tasting homemade yogurt with honey and fresh strawberries, stopping at a traditional Greek coffee shop, and trekking into the Cave of Zeus, we truly stepped into the lives and history of the wonderful Cretan people. Spyros made the experience all the more wonderful and we would highly recommend this tour if visiting Crete!
Response from the operator: We are so delighted Taylor that you rate our service as 5 Star as we strive to provide just that for all our guests. You're right, Lasithi Plateau has so much to offer and everyone likes this tour, and Spyros with he's passion and he's personality, makes it even more memorable and fun. We at Tours in Heraklion would like to thank you again for choosing us for your day tour and for leaving such a great review. Warm wishes to your wonderful family!

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. +
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Heraklion?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
