    BEWARE Trip Was Cancelled

I booked this excursion and received a notice that it was canceled due to not enough people. This was less than 24 hours before the excursion.

    Fun, low key - perfect

Great experience- fun crew! Very low key if you are not looking for party boat atmosphere- which we were not. Great music and Louis cracked open a fresh coconut for us

It was an amazing experience. Seeing the dolphins were a favorite. I would definitely go again. Tell the captain hi.

They tried but fell short because of low attenance.

It is hard to rate this. We arrived at the boat and our guide told us that there were only four people so it wasn’t the normal tour or staff. They put us on another companies boat. Well, our guy did go on the boat with us. we were at the mercy of the other boat and their activities, it did not seem like a small group but I will say I don’t know what a small group is supposed to be. I’m glad they didn’t cancel due to lack of participation, but it wasn’t what I expected so I cannot give an accurate review the place they took us there really was no snorkeling. The only fish that were there were what they were feeding . The place they took us to swim like it was the rich and famous of drug dealers and overly crowded.

Response from the operator: Dear Denise, We are truly sorry for the inconvenience. We really did not have enough people to go out on our boat and we never wanted to cancel it. Thank you very much for your comment and sorry for this.

Not at all what is advertised

This trip is not for someone who actually wants to do any snorkeling. My wife and I went based on the pictures of teeming wildlife, coral reefs, and tons of fish. Of the 3 hours and 30 minutes we spent approximately 15 minutes actually snorkeling. They said you’ll visit a natural “cave”. There was no cave, we snorkeled around the boat with no reef in site for a short time. The rest of the time was spent riding around in the boat with music so loud you couldn’t even carry a conversation. We then went to a party “cove” that had dirty water and vendors peddling junk. If you want to go party hard and get hammered, this is the trip. If you want to snorkel and explore the fish and wildlife of Punta Cana, find another company….

Small Group: Snorkeling Cruise Adventure around the Punta Cana Coast: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does Small Group: Snorkeling Cruise Adventure around the Punta Cana Coast cost?

    +

Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Small Group: Snorkeling Cruise Adventure around the Punta Cana Coast take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.

Is Small Group: Snorkeling Cruise Adventure around the Punta Cana Coast worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 42 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Small Group: Snorkeling Cruise Adventure around the Punta Cana Coast?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Small Group: Snorkeling Cruise Adventure around the Punta Cana Coast suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Small Group: Snorkeling Cruise Adventure around the Punta Cana Coast?

    +

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Small Group: Snorkeling Cruise Adventure around the Punta Cana Coast start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
