    Great for Cruise Traveler

Tour Guide Raoul spoke clearly and gave us information about Mumbai. He added fun things along the way - we tasted spiced green mago and roasted seasoned chicken peas. At Gandhi's house, he led up straight to the 3rd floor to see the beautiful dioramas avoiding the crowds. He explained the slums and shared facts about his home there. He even helped to negotiate prices from street vendors and explained that good luck came with hanging elephants in your home. I learned that Hindis believe that feeding one cow honors the billions of God's in their religion. We also have him to thank for great pictures along the way. We were 9 in an air-conditioned van with a fantastic driver. I also like that the Young company uses part of the fees to educate some of the poor. They helped 60 students so far.

Response from the operator: Dear mary Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with us! We’re delighted to hear that Raoul made your Mumbai tour both informative and fun. From tasting local snacks like spiced green mango and roasted chickpeas to exploring Gandhi’s house and learning about the culture and beliefs, it sounds like a truly immersive day. Raoul’s personal insights and thoughtful gestures—like helping with shopping and capturing great photos—definitely add a special touch to the journey. We also deeply appreciate you mentioning our Young Cares Foundation. Every booking with Young Tours and Travel helps us continue our mission of supporting education for children in Dharavi. With the help of kind guests like you, we’ve been able to support over 60 students so far! Best regards, Team Young Tours and Travel

Carefully Curated Tour by Experienced Native Guide

From navigating the mass of humanity and vehicles at the Green Gate at the port of Mumbai, to the air conditioned tour bus and insightful knowledge of the city, this tour went flawlessly and well. We took the tour primarily to see the Gandhi museum, but were pleasantly surprised by the rest of the selected landmarks. Our guide, Kevin, even got us some chai from a street vendor. What was most compelling was the add-on Dharavi tour our bus decided to take in the afternoon. We assumed the tour would simply view the settings from the movie "Slumdog Millionaire". Boy, were we wrong! Kevin and Young Tours owner Rahul are both from that slum area. Rahul still lives there. We saw the back alleys and narrow passageways of Mumbai's great economic engine and the residence areas of Dharavi. It shredded our previous misconceptions of the slum. Rahul's company also supports education and development initiatives in Dharavi. It is a life changing experience, if even in a small way. If you want your visit to Mumbai to be different and exciting, Young Tours is the company that delivers.

Response from the operator: Dear Visitor, Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re delighted to hear that your tour, guided by kirtan, exceeded your expectations. Navigating the bustling Green Gate at Mumbai Port can indeed be overwhelming, and we’re glad our air-conditioned bus and Kevin’s insightful commentary provided a comfortable and informative journey. It’s wonderful that the Gandhi Museum and other selected landmarks resonated with you. Kirtan’s gesture of sharing chai from a local vendor exemplifies our commitment to offering authentic experiences. We’re especially pleased that the Dharavi tour profoundly impacted you. As you discovered, Dharavi is a vibrant community bustling with diverse industries and resilient residents. Our founder, Rahul, and guides like Kirtan, who hail from this community, are passionate about dispelling misconceptions and showcasing the true spirit of Dharavi. By choosing our tours, you directly support the Young Cares Foundation, our NGO dedicated to empowering underprivileged communities in Dharavi through education and skill development programs. Your participation aids in fostering positive change and development within the community. We appreciate your heartfelt recommendation and look forward to welcoming you on another enriching journey in the future. Best regards, Young Tours and Travel

Our guide Kevin is knowledgeable and professional. He took us to affluent areas and slums of Mumbai. His view is full of positive energy and inspiring.

Despite booking our tour at the very last minute, when they were already fully booked due to high demand from the cruise ship, they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Small- Group Mumbai City Sightseeing Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.

How much does Small- Group Mumbai City Sightseeing Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Small- Group Mumbai City Sightseeing Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.

Is Small- Group Mumbai City Sightseeing Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Small- Group Mumbai City Sightseeing Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Small- Group Mumbai City Sightseeing Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Small- Group Mumbai City Sightseeing Tour?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Small- Group Mumbai City Sightseeing Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mumbai?

    +

On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mumbai?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mumbai?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
