⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable night in Ho Chi Minh – and Joey made it even better!
If you’re visiting Ho Chi Minh City, book the Foodie by Night Tour immediately. It was without a doubt one of the highlights of my trip! The food was incredible, taking us to authentic local places I would never have found on my own. Every stop was different, delicious, and gave me a real taste of Vietnamese culture. Riding through the city’s buzzing streets on the back of a scooter was an adventure in itself and made the whole experience even more exciting. But what truly made this tour special was Joey, my guide and driver. She was absolutely fantastic! From the very first minute, she made me feel completely safe and comfortable on the scooter. She’s an excellent rider, incredibly friendly, funny, and full of positive energy. Joey shared interesting stories about the city, answered all my questions with a smile, and made the evening feel like I was exploring Ho Chi Minh with a good friend rather than being on a tour. Her enthusiasm is contagious, her English is excellent, and she genuinely cares that everyone has an amazing experience. Thanks to Joey, I didn’t just discover amazing food—I also discovered the heart and soul of the city. A huge thank you to Joey and the entire team for an unforgettable evening. If you can, ask for Joey—you’ll be in the best hands! Highly recommended. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat!

Authentic Street Food Experience with a Knowledgeable Local Guide
We had a delightful experience on this food tour with Daniel. The itinerary offered an impressive variety of street food—we sampled a total of 12 dishes, each showcasing a different aspect of the local cuisine. My personal favorite was the Bún Cá (fish noodle soup), which stood out for its flavor and freshness. The tour was very filling and well-paced, and having a knowledgeable local like Daniel made a big difference. He not only guided us to great food spots but also shared helpful context about the dishes and the area. Overall, a highly enjoyable and worthwhile experience.
Response from the operator: Xin chao, Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear that you had such a delightful food tour experience with Daniel. Sampling a wide variety of dishes is exactly what we aim for, and it’s wonderful that the Bún Cá stood out as your favorite. Daniel will be very happy to know that his knowledge and local insights helped enhance your experience. Creating a well-paced and enjoyable journey through Saigon’s street food scene is something we truly value. Thank you again for your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back for more culinary adventures! Asiana Link Team

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Small-group Foodie by Night in Saigon (04 hours): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ho Chi Minh City.
How much does Small-group Foodie by Night in Saigon (04 hours) cost?
+
Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ho Chi Minh City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Small-group Foodie by Night in Saigon (04 hours) take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ho Chi Minh City is not rushed.
Is Small-group Foodie by Night in Saigon (04 hours) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 50 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ho Chi Minh City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Small-group Foodie by Night in Saigon (04 hours)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Small-group Foodie by Night in Saigon (04 hours) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Small-group Foodie by Night in Saigon (04 hours)?
+
Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ho Chi Minh City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Small-group Foodie by Night in Saigon (04 hours) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ho Chi Minh City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ho Chi Minh City?
+
On Outty we rank every Ho Chi Minh City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Adventure Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Tour From HCM, Cu Chi Tunnels Small-Group Tour: Vietnam War Underground Network, Cu Chi underground tour - Learn Vietnam war with others. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ho Chi Minh City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ho Chi Minh City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
