    Amazing afternoon in the Atlantic.

Our family really enjoyed this experience. We took our 12 year old and 18 year old. Our guide, Anna, and the skipper were knowledgeable and friendly, explaining in English and Portuguese about species and the coastline. There was a clear, genuine respect for the animals. They searched for dolphins, taking us out to 12 nautical miles off shore and we saw 2 pods; a group of common dolphins, as well as some bottle-nose dolphins. For us, 2.5hrs (nearly 3hrs) was the perfect length of time. Would definitely recommend Ocean Vibes. 👏

    Great Experience

Wow, what an amazing experience! There were four in my group and all of us loved it. We didn't get the names of the guides, but they were brilliant - super friendly and informative - you can tell they have a passion for the wildlife. As with any tour, there is a chance you won't see any animals, but we were lucky enough to spot dolphins and a whale. If I visit Faro again, I would definitely book with Ocean Vibes.

    Great experience while seeing Orcas

We had an amazing time with our two guides Anna and Pedro. Clear and good safety instructions before departure, they even gave it in two different languages. Pedro gave us a lot of interesting facts about the animals we were about to see. It's also important to notice that the guides can't make animals appear and that its luck what and how many different species you will see. I liked that Anna made that clear from the beginning. During the tour we stopped to collect trash out of the ocean.

    Excellent guides

We had a fabulous time on this excursion. Our guides Pedro and Ana were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We were so fortunate to see a family of orcas - which our guides informed us was extremely rare.

How much does Small Group Dolphin and Wildlife Watching Tour in Faro cost?

    +

How long does Small Group Dolphin and Wildlife Watching Tour in Faro take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Faro is not rushed.

Is Small Group Dolphin and Wildlife Watching Tour in Faro worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 88 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 649 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Faro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Small Group Dolphin and Wildlife Watching Tour in Faro?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Small Group Dolphin and Wildlife Watching Tour in Faro suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book Small Group Dolphin and Wildlife Watching Tour in Faro?

    +

Around 227 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Faro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Faro and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

What are the best things to do in Faro?

    +

On Outty we rank every Faro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ria Formosa - Boat trip to the 3 Islands: Armona | Culatra Island | Lighthouse, From Faro: Benagil Cave, Marinha & Carvoeiro [Full-Day Tour], Ria Formosa Natural Park and Islands Boat Cruise from Faro. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Faro?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Faro?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
