Fun AND Culture
My kids were curious about the water buffalo they saw along the road, so I booked a private experience. We got to meet, feed, and pet the buffalo, then even learned about farming (by DOING) and we all walked away with such an appreciation for the work involved. The operator even arranged for us to do a lantern making class too! Highly recommend.

A day full of highlights!
Traveling with my husband and our two teens (17 and 13), this Hoi A countryside tour was a highlight of our trip! What made it truly exceptional was our guide Duc - he was warm, engaging, & incredibly knowledgeable. He connected naturally with our teens and explained everything clearly. His enthusiasm and pride in sharing his culture really stood out - he’s a huge asset to this tour. Cycling through rice fields was peaceful and beautiful. Getting to meet local farmers and actually try planting rice (and even riding a water buffalo!) was something our kids will never forget. Riding in the bamboo basket boats was also entertaining. The day ended with a delicious meal, making rice milk, and learning to cook Banh Xeo. Perfect mix of culture, fun, and authentic experiences. Highly recommend - especially with Duc as your guide! Thank you, Duc!!

Eye-opening tour you need to experience!
Our tour today with the owner Mr.Cu was incredible! We were picked up promptly by his wife at our agreed by time from our hotel. We then met Mr.Cu out by the rice fields to begin our adventure. We walked away with a wealth of knowledge of the agriculture of Vietnam, and got to experience first hand the effort, time and sweat it takes to get the food we eat from farm to table. The tour was highly interactive including planting rice, fishing for crabs, riding a water buffalo and biking the city. Everywhere we went, we were greeted with a smile from both other staff and locals. Mr. Cu was an excellent guy and business owner, hiring people for his staff of all backgrounds and abilities. I walked away from this tour with a different perspective and a new found appreciation for the food we eat and the people and communities who grow it. Thank you again my friend for a wonderful day ❤️

A glimpse of Vietnamese life
What a great little trip, bike ride through Hôi An, along the river, then on to the rice fields & crops. Met a family with a Water Buffalo, which you could ride & have a go ploughing a bit of a paddy field. We then rode through fish farms & with a boat ride in a traditional basket boat along the river. We stopped further on to learn how to mill rice milk & cook pancakes to eat along with other tasty dishes. No need to eat before coming as there was plenty to eat. We then cycled back into Hôi An. Guide Ha was really nice & informative. Would definitely recommend 👌🏼

Great bike ride through the countryside
Awesome bike ride with Duc! No problems for him when my 9 year old decided he could not ride the bike (overwhelmed by the traffic at first), so he had a seat delivered and my son sat on the back of his dads bike. Cooking class was extra fun and food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Why this scores 82
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Small Group Bicycle Tour with Farming and Fishing Experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hoi An.
How much does Small Group Bicycle Tour with Farming and Fishing Experience cost?
+
Prices start at $16 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hoi An usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Small Group Bicycle Tour with Farming and Fishing Experience take?
+
Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hoi An is not rushed.
Is Small Group Bicycle Tour with Farming and Fishing Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 44 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Small Group Bicycle Tour with Farming and Fishing Experience?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Small Group Bicycle Tour with Farming and Fishing Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Small Group Bicycle Tour with Farming and Fishing Experience?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Small Group Bicycle Tour with Farming and Fishing Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hoi An within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hoi An?
+
On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hoi An?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hoi An?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
