Very disappointed with driver's ignorance.
My husband booked the tour, when the driver Cody arrived at our hotel, he greeted my husband and ignored me which I found very ignorant for someone who works in hospitality. During the journey to and from the beaches Cody only spoke to and asked questions of the people who had made the booking and didn't engage in conversation with anyone else, the tour cost the same for all passengers not just the person who booked it so why were they ignored! This is our 2nd tour with the Anaheim Tour Company, the 1st was back in October 23, our driver then was very friendly and helpful to everyone, I don't remember his name but he was the reason why we chose to book a different tour with this company, but after today's experience we won't be booking another one! Also the tour itinerary states that we stop for approximately 2 and a half hours in Huntington beach but we only got 2 hours and 55 minutes so didn't get what we paid for! The beaches were beautiful but the customer service regarding passengers who hadn't made the booking was appalling.
Response from the operator: First, let me say you sound like a delightful person and I'm sorry for the disappointment you experienced on our tour. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the first tour and wish I could tell who you are from your screen information. Second, perhaps Cody was rude for not acknowledging you but, that sounds completely out of the ordinary for him. There are hundreds of reviews here that mention him and the experience that guests typically have with him so, again, without knowing who you are or being able to track you down through our system, it's hard to say what the issues were. As far as Cody only speaking to the person booking the tour, that also seems unusual. It's clear that you are very sensitive about feeling ignored. I’m so sorry this caused you to have such a terrible day. We drivers often get vibes from guests and, perhaps you started the day unhappy. Cody would normally work harder to bring you into the conversation. If the tour itinerary states that you get “about two and a half hours in Huntington Beach” and in your review you claim to have spent “2 hours and 55 minutes” there... I, once again, am at a loss to understand exactly what the issue is. It sounds like you received an extra 25 minutes at this stop. Your review is very confusing to me, I’m sorry to say. I'm glad you thought the beaches were beautiful - they are. This was the very first tour we started with 24 years ago and we still go to the same stops. You didn't mention that there were 8 guests total on the tour - we pride ourselves at keeping the number of guests low to provide the best experience to each guest. Lastly, I'm confused how you knew who booked the tour for each group and how you know who didn't... which, it sounds like, in your experience caused them to be ignored but Cody? Did you have a chance to talk to the other people to ascertain exactly who the booking party was so you could find out if the other people were ignored? This sounds like a terrible waste of time on a beautiful day This seems very convoluted and there may have been other issues going on that day that you haven't shared here. In any case, I'm sorry you won't be booking another tour with us... I was going to suggest you ask your husband to let you book the next one so you'd get the attention you seek but, that suggestion won't work now. Wishing you many future happier travels. If you let tour guides and service professionals know exactly what your expectations are for your personal attention, you may be less dissatisfied with future experiences.

We enjoyed the beach...
We enjoyed the beach tour. Small group was nice. We got a good amount of time at 3 beaches. Rick was very accommodating, tailored the tour to suit our needs. We wanted more beach time and less time shopping. 1st stop, got some great pics of Laguna beach. Spent 3+ hours at Newport Beach. Took a short ferry ride ($2pp) to Balboa Island. Walked around and had lunch. Then, came back and spent the rest of our time at the beach. Last stop, we spent 2hrs at Huntington Beach. There are shops around and food options if needed. Great way to visit multiple beaches.

Amazing beach day!
Great day with Anaheim Tour Company. Our tour guide Rick was super friendly and really knowledgeable about the area. Really recommend taking the short ferry ride to Balboa Island, it’s a beautiful walk and a great vibe. The van picked us up right at our hotel and it was a very comfortable ride. Remember sunscreen even on cloudy days!

Beach Tour
Went to Laguna (the most beautiful), Newport (the most to do) and Huntington (the coolist). They all had their own personality. Loved every minute of the day.
Response from the operator: That's EXACTLY how we describe these 3 beaches and we're so grateful you loved it! We appreciate you and hope you'll come visit again!

Why this scores 68

Small-Group Best Beaches in Orange County Day Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Anaheim.
How much does Small-Group Best Beaches in Orange County Day Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Anaheim usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Small-Group Best Beaches in Orange County Day Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Anaheim is not rushed.
Is Small-Group Best Beaches in Orange County Day Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Anaheim, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Small-Group Best Beaches in Orange County Day Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Small-Group Best Beaches in Orange County Day Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Small-Group Best Beaches in Orange County Day Tour?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Anaheim can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Anaheim and add a light layer if any part of the 8.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Small-Group Best Beaches in Orange County Day Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Anaheim within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Anaheim?
+
Anaheim's activity market is built around Disneyland Resort and Knott's Berry Farm, then widens into Angels games, brewery crawls in the Packing District and easy runs to Laguna and Newport beaches. Skip-the-line timing and park-hopper detail matter more here than anywhere else in California, so we weight logistics heavily. On Outty we rank every Anaheim experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Iconic Sights of LA, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Beaches and More, 60 Minute Adventures at The Escape Game in Orange, Anaheim to LA: Hollywood, Beaches & Famous Film Sites tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Anaheim?
+
March to May and September to November, when park crowds ease and days stay warm. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Anaheim?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
