Wonderful Day at Waterfall and Rainforest with Carlos

Carlos is a wonderful tour guide and we had an amazing day out with him! It was me and my 13 year old daughter, we started at the Llanos de Cortes waterfall, and then he took us to a rainforest that guides who made sure we saw birds and animals, and got lots of great pictures for us using their telescopes. We saw sloths (including babies), tapir, toucans and many other birds and red eyed frogs. We also got to grind our own sugarcane juice from cane that was in the rainforest - very refreshing after our walk. We had a wonderful lunch at a local place Carlos picked, they had traditional Costa Rican options and the food was excellent. Carlos was right on time and he taught us a lot about Costa Rica and its history. He was a safe and capable driver and guide. He knows a lot about birds if you are interested in bird watching. We are looking forward to coming back to Costa Rica and doing more tours with Carlos. He’s perfect for private tours and his company can also arrange for large groups traveling together (wedding guests, extended family trips, etc).

Response from the operator: Hello Sarah. Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review! It truly means a lot to hear that you and your daughter Kayla had such a special day exploring Costa Rica with us. We’re delighted that you enjoyed visiting the beautiful Llanos de Cortés Waterfall and experiencing the rainforest’s incredible wildlife—from sloths and tapirs to toucans and red-eyed frogs. Moments like these are what make Costa Rica so unique, and we’re happy we could help you capture them with great photos along the way. We’re also glad you enjoyed the traditional sugarcane experience and lunch at a local Costa Rican restaurant—authentic flavors are an important part of the journey! Your kind words about me, and my knowledge, punctuality, and safe driving truly mean a lot. Do you know me, I'm passionate about sharing Costa Rica’s nature, culture, and especially its birdlife, ect.. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we would be honored to welcome you back for another adventure in the future, whether it’s a private tour or a special group experience. Pura vida!

    Great service

My group was unable to participate in the Rio Celeste tour due to sudden sickness of several group members. I write this review to share how very kind and helpful Carlos and the tour company were. Even after a last minute cancellation, Carlos worked with us to rebook the tour—assuming everyone had recovered. Although we had to cancel a second time, Carlos and the Company were very kind, helpful, and flexible in attempting to meet our needs. They were very responsive to us through the entire process. Next time I visit Costa Rica, I’ll be sure to book this tour with this company again. I appreciate the great customer service.
