Highly Reccommend!
This was an amazing experience! The food was probably the best we had on our trip to Cartagena. The chef was lovely to speak with and helped us through each step of the process. The team was also very flexible and quickly accommodated our dietary restrictions and preferences. Overall, I would highly recommend this experience!

The highlight of my trip to Cartagena
Taking a cooking class was easily the best part of my trip. With only two of us in the group, it felt like a semi-intensive private lesson, and we got plenty of hands-on time and personal attention. Romario was a wonderful teacher. He shared so much about Colombian cooking, from the techniques to the stories behind the dishes, and made everything approachable and fun. We prepared a full three-course meal (arepas rellenas, pescado en bijao con puré, and more), and it felt like a crash course in fine dining cooking. We went home with new skills, the recipes, and very happy tummies. If you love food and want something more memorable than the usual tourist activities, book this class. I'd do it again in a heartbeat if they had offered 3 day or a week long class. Thank you again Romario & Deyanis! 💗

Awesome experience
This was the best activity we did in Cartagena. We did this with my wife, two young kids and I. Mario was incredibly welcoming and made the kids feel so confident in what they were learning. They are excited to get back home and try what they have learned. Thank you Mario and team!!

Wonderful cooking class in the walled city in Cartagena
Owar and his assistant made this cooking class an absolute highlight of our time in Cartagena. The kitchen is set inside a gorgeous historic building in the walled city — a beautiful and atmospheric space to spend an afternoon. After a month traveling through Colombia, we’ve tried a lot of food, but this class introduced us to dishes that were still completely new to us. The food preparation was thorough and well-paced, with clear instructions that made every step feel approachable. Owar’s warm personality and his assistant’s attentiveness kept the whole experience fun and engaging. We LOVED the dessert - a definite highlight of an already wonderful meal. We left excited to recreate everything at home for our friends and family. If you’re looking for a hands-on, authentic culinary experience in Cartagena, this is it. Highly recommend! Happy to tweak anything else!

SkyKitchen 4 Course Cooking Class: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cartagena.
How much does SkyKitchen 4 Course Cooking Class cost?
+
Prices start at $98 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cartagena usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does SkyKitchen 4 Course Cooking Class take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cartagena is not rushed.
Is SkyKitchen 4 Course Cooking Class worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 163 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Cartagena, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule SkyKitchen 4 Course Cooking Class?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is SkyKitchen 4 Course Cooking Class suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book SkyKitchen 4 Course Cooking Class?
+
Around 57 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cartagena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cartagena and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does SkyKitchen 4 Course Cooking Class start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cartagena within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cartagena?
+
On Outty we rank every Cartagena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Historic Center & Getsemaní Shared Tour in Cartagena, Cartagena Antigua & Barrio Getsemani group with audio system, Cartagena VIP Boat Tour: Rosario Islands & Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cartagena?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cartagena?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
